My neighbor helped with the install since it is somewhat awkward holding them up while installing the bolts but it could be done with one person. These were made very well and I really liked them. The problem was the step was to small and to close to the body. When I stepped on them and turned to sit on the seat my ankle would hit the side of the jeep body and that was not comfortable. If only the step had been a little wider they would have been great.
