The filter is for above ground pool. The quality of the filter is very cheap the item is not valued over $800.00, what I paid for. I still didn’t try the pump and hoping Hayward will help us. I’m a very unhappy customer how Amazon took care of this situation. Forget your policy 30 days. This is a very expensive item. I’m going to cut back on orders from Amazon for not taking care of a good customer.

This pump is wonderful. The water pressure leaving the pump is astonishing and there has been no need to pump the handle in 2 weeks. My pool water is immaculate, just the way I like it. I did have a minor defect that needed to be addressed. There was no problem with the pump, but one of the hoses that connects the pump to the pool had a pin-prick hole that started shooting a 3-foot arc of mist everywhere. It took 17 days to get a replacement hose, but the problem is solved and working well.

We ordered this system as a replacement to our older unit that lasted 8 plus years. The plastic parts just wore out. Assuming this new system would be the same quality we didn't hesitate in ordering. We ordered it on 6/3/24 it didn't arrive until 6/11/24. We were in the process of repairing the pool liner so we didn't install this new system until 6/30/24, which we recorded with the warrantee registration. As soon as we installed the system, it started leaking from the top. Mind you we have had this same system previously so we knew how to connect everything. Upon investigation we found that the gasket was not the same as the old unit had, it was thinner and white in color instead of the thicker black gasket the previous unit had. (If you look at replacement parts the gasket is the black thicker one like the old system had. )The clamps that compress the top assembly didn't fit properly leaving a space instead of the compression the old unit had. The leak became greater until we saw water spraying up into the air when the pool came on in the morning! We contacted Hayward on 7/26/24, but they were closed, so we contacted them on Monday, to let them know the clamp assembly and the diaphragm gasket was defective. They referred us to In The Swim since they sold the system to us. In The Swim has refused to cover the defective parts saying it has been over a month . I told them the system wasn't installed until 6/30. They either don't believe us or ??? . We are still waiting to hear from Hayward. Our solution to the leak is to use C-Clamps. We realize that In The Swim didn't manufacture the system, but it is their warrantee that they are not honoring.

Been struggling for several years with the filter we had previously. Decided to replace it this year- good investment! My pool has been crystal clear since we opened it!! Easy to backwash & bump to improve pressure. Sorry we waited so long… I have 15,000 gallon pool using DE & chlorine powder

I did not install the pump yet, the season is over in the north east it is for next season.My old Hayward ec40 lasted 38 years i rebuilt 2 motors and replaced the filtering fingers that is why i purchase this new filter it is simple and it works for me there is none better.

Replaced a 20+ year old unit (same model) that was one size bigger; it was leaking and fixing the seal didn’t help. This new one is great, way more pressure/flow. I hadn’t realized how worn out the old one had become over time. It has kept the pool crystal clear as expected; what I didn’t expect is how much quieter it is and since it moves so much water, I don’t have to run it as much.
