I bought both a size 6.5 and a size 7 to compare sizing (I measured my foot and it was between those two sizes), and I found that the size 7 felt WAY tighter/smaller than the size 6.5. I know they’re supposed to fight snug but it was too uncomfortable to even stand. They seem like good skates overall but I think I’d rather go in store to get the correct sizing. ... show more

I just got them in today and they look amazing, I have yet to go try them out but I’m definitely a beginner skater and will just be using them for recreational use. You have to get them sharpened professionally before you use them.

I bought these boots about a year and a half ago. I just upgraded to the freestyle as I've moved on to more advanced skills. These boots were perfect and stayed in great shape. I probably skated about two to three days a week for 1-1.5 hrs at a time. I ordered a size 7--I normally wear a size 8 but you should go one size down in skates. I have wide feet in terms of figure skates, so these were pretty tight on my toes. These come in a standard width so something like a A or B width and I'm a D >.< I got used to it but it's weird now to have skates where I can wiggle my toes lol. Nothing fell apart and nothing loosened. They were pretty easy to break in and never really gave me any blisters. I started getting rough spots on the sides of my pinky toe but I think that is from my foot being squished. You don't want to wear thick socks when skating. Barefoot or stocking socks are the best option. Overall, great boot to get started and a great brand. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Have had these for about 6 months now since I began classes and they're pretty great I will say and can definitely fool people for being more expensive than they are. Since they are on the less pricey side for skates the inside padding is not the greatest as I had to buy gel pads to go over the top of my feet to prevent lace bite as well as different padding for the souls, but everyone’s foot is different. !!!They do need a 1/2 inch sharpening before you use them for the first time!!! ... show more

While these skates might work for some, they were not for me. I found that the fit was off and they were uncomfortable. I ordered a size 6.5 in the Excel model. After trying 3 different models of Jackson skates (Excel, Mystique and Artiste) in 2 different sizes, I ended up with a size 6.0 C Jackson Ultima Artiste. They feel good on the foot, but will take some time breaking in. I believe the Artiste will work great for me. ... show more

A great boot/blade combo for the money. This was my first time trying Jacksons--I've been a Riedell skater for 25+ years--and it was a learning experience! Be mindful of heel pitch--Jacksons have a higher heel than some other brands--which may impact the fit for some feet, especially where the width at the ball of the foot and room for toes are concerned. At the time of my purchase the only width available was "C" (standard width); take care to consult Jackson sizing charts to ensure that the width will be sufficient for your length of sole. In my case, the boots were a little narrow--especially with the thick insole and higher heel pitch--and a little short for my longer foot, so I would likely chose a half size up if I were to buy again. All in all a nicely priced boot/blade for recreational skating or getting started on basic edges, stroking and spins. ... show more
