Its been heating my 30 gallon bathtub every day for the past 47 days so far. It takes about 2 to 2.5 hours to get the bathtub to 105 degrees Fahrenheit from around 50 F. Don't pay attention to the guy that posted the picture of the unit all melted at the top it was his fault by not having the unit fully submerged in the water and up the cord a couple of inches; Which is how he ruined his water heater! This product is good and does NOT blow my breakers on old aluminum house wiring. I recommend this! EDIT its now been 87 days every day use heating up the bathtub with the same daily use! (with electric cord always submerged at least 6 inches) and no issues at all and still looks brand new in every way! EDIT 2: 130 DAYS of every day use as described above and still works and looks like new! This is the last edit as we can see it has longevity and works great if used properly! EDIT 3: it lasted exactly 6 months of everyday use heating up a full sized bath tub...not too bad at all....I just ordered two more! ... show more

I bought this unit as a extra heating element for my salspa that faults all the time! I used this little buddy and In 3 hours my hot tub was at 104 degrees hot asl! Don’t think about it buy it! Update ok I just learned it will catch fire if taken out of water without unplugging! So always unplug prior to removing from water! I just ordered a new one! If you were thinking what I was… “oh, I’ll toss this in the AM and my blowup pool will be bearable by the afternoon” you would be way wrong! I would HIGHLY recommend buying a garden hose to shower head adapter and using your home water heater to make your pool comfortable. Waste of money.

I bought this for my son's inflatable pool from Target. The Minnidip 5.5 ft wide. So I started to put it at 2:58 and the water temp from the garden hose was 73.4 F. Then I set an alarm at 3:58 to check the temp after an hour. It was 80.4 F. Then at around 5:24PM my husband said its at 88.9F. He forgot to check it at around 5PM 🙄 but around that time he also unplugged it. My son was so happy that the water is warm. ... show more
