My son is 12 now and I ordered a L and XL youth last year for my him to wear to school. Loved them! The XL was a but big last year but fits him perfect this year so I ordered 2 more, both XL this time. They came separate days and both are quite a bit smaller than the first XL. They are closer to last years L size than the XL. I purchased this hoodie for my 12 yr old son. He is 4'6" tall and 92 pounds, we ordered a size 12 and it fit perfectly. The arms reached his wrists appropriately and the waist came ~ an inch or 2 below his pants button. Well made seams and all stitching has stayed strong through dozens and dozens of washings. I purchased white and have had to put it through the blazing hot sanitation cycle wash setting with Oxi-clean AND bleach numerous times and still have had no deterioration of the product at all. Stains come out without a problem, even pizza and BBQ sauce. The material is soft, has not piled at all and he says it is very comfortable. All in all, a very good "go-to" classic hoodie.

I read the reviews that I should order a size up and I did. My 10 year old is about 5' tall and about 85 lbs and I got the XL. It's a little big, but he probably wouldn't be able to wear it next year if I had gotten the L. He just wanted a plain hoodie with no graphics and that's hard to find. For the price, I think this purchase was worth it. It's a nice, thick material, too.

The quality of this hoodie is okay. However, the sizing chart is way off and the customer service response was lacking. I ordered a size M for my 8 year old who is of average height and quite slim. The M supposedly fits age 10-12, so I thought it would be big on him and have plenty of room for growing into. It was SO SMALL! I reached out to the company to ask whether this was a manufacturing defect or whether the sizing runs small, and they did not answer my question. Instead, they simply said I could go through the return/exchange process, but provided no guidance on how to go about replacement in order to ensure I get the appropriate size. Customer service needs improvement, and unless this was a sizing defect, the sizing chart needs to be updated for accuracy.
