I got this pot on a great sale when we needed this size, so no regrets. And it cooks just as well as our pans from the internationally known standard in enamel cast iron cookware, which last so long that we inherited ours. But. After less than a year of intermittent use, the colored enamel on the outside of the pan has chipped in numerous places, including the handle and the bottom; and the enamel inside the pan has been shown to be less than perfectly smooth, as multiple tiny pits are now permanently dark. So, it works fine, but this likely isn't one I'll be handing down to my daughters.

We got an induction stove recently, so I've been replacing old incompatible cookware with iron and steel. This is cream-colored and looks very nice stored towards the back of the stove with the Dutch Oven. It's about as heavy as a Miata, so yeah, it's sturdy. The enamel is excellent. There's no enamel on the rim and the lid where they make contact. It was a Christmas present and I put it to work with Christmas dinner and it worked just fine. Quality cookware.

I'm deeply disappointed with this saucepan. The interior bottom chipped while I was cooking soup. I discovered it when I was eating the soup. Thank goodness it was just me and not a guest. I use plastic utensils and hang the pot on a hook, rather than nesting it with other pots. There's no reason for the inside to chip. It's never been in the oven. I haven't even had it for a year. I guess you get what you pay for. My Le Creuset and Martha Stewart enameled cast iron has never chipped.

This is exactly what I wanted after making the decision to transition from nonstick cookware to enameled cast-iron. I got tired of the nonstick cookware scratching and having the materials come off in my food even when I used plastic and wooden utensils. I find this new pot to be perfect, it heats very well, and equally distributes the heat, I also find it very easy to clean. And on top of all of that, it is very attractive.
