Having just moved into a new townhome with 3 sliding glass doors and more windows than I can count, I have to say I need curtains-BAD! I found the perfect sets I wanted right here on Amazon but then spent forever trying to choose a rod. I wanted something substantial and interesting, but not overstated or corny. These were perfect. Did the job with the decor and these are some strong rods to boot! I'm using them to hang drapes for floor length covering to the sliding doors which is roughly 7 ft by 7ft... (forgive me if I'm off on that) my point being, they advertised them specifically talking to the strength of the rod as a selling point and they were 100% accurate and in the right to do so. I have no doubt that these will hold up long after I'm ready to change things up again. They also shipped really quick and were a great deal for quality like this. Highly recommend. ... show more

    • Unusual assembly, worth it or not?

So, the item arrived on time in a tiny box. I was expecting a long narrow rod shaped box. Nope! The rod is cut into very small sections and must be connected with plastic connectors that take 4 screws each. You add as many or as few sections to create the length you need. I feel this design has pros and cons. Pros: it’s not going to get bent up in the mail in tiny sections the way a long rod would. It’s also stronger than a traditional rod with all the plastic connectors and screws every foot or so. Cons: it’s way more work and thinking to get it up and running than a rod that just slides to size. Is it worth it? No. A regular rod is way easier to assemble, like no assembly, and just as strong with a middle bracket Supporting it. I’m not sure what the goal of this design was. Save $ on packaging maybe? It does work, but why so many tiny sections??? ... show more
