This is my second time buying one of these chairs. I bought my husband one back in 2020, and now I have bought myself one. The color is absolutely gorgeous, and they are so comfortable. I love how both the seat and arm rests are adjustable. The back also reclines which was a huge bonus! The quality is to notch and worth the money. It was super easy to put together too. I received this chair two days early, and I assembled it in ~1hr by myself. The instructions included with the chair are very detailed and easy to read. Now for a pros and cons list: Pros: -Very easy to assemble -Good Instructions -Sturdy Build -Seat cushion is amazingly comfortable (much better than my previous chair) -The reclining backrest is amazing! -The armrests are fun to play with -The casters are high quality and roll easily, even on carpet (a little harder to move than on tile/wood floor.) -The elevation mechanism has a great height range (great for higher desks such as custom ones like mine) -Doesn't cost $400+!!! Cons: -Lumbar support cushion was pretty stiff (made me feel like I was constantly bending my back the wrong way) -Some holes were slightly misaligned as I found during construction -Letters on the head pillow are slightly abrasive for a guy with short hair -Armrests are a little far out from the chair Overall, this is an amazing chair for the price, and this is one that will likely last for a long while. If you are looking for a racing chair that isn't super expensive, buy this one. It's great.

First off, let me say I love the chair well enough; that's why I gave it five stars and I'm on my third one. That being said, let me tell you why I'm on my third GT Racing Gaming chair. I made a video real fast here in my bedroom, please excuse the mess as I did not plan on this review, but I felt the need to share what I know with everybody. It's in the video but I'll explain it here just the same. To sit up fairly straight, you put almost no pressure on any part of the chair. It'll go for years if all you do is sit in it. However, for the recliners out there, this is important and I highly suggest you watch the video for more specific visual points. There is a metal frame in the back portion of the chair (likely throughout the entire thing, actually) but this metal rectangle is only supported from the chair in one pinpoint location: right under the lever that you pull to recline. So, in your head, imagine the physics of this. You're sitting up straight and putting no pressure on the metal frame underneath and behind you. Then you decide to recline so you pull the lever and lean back. This is a quick action that we all know from other chairs and think little of it so we pull, lean back, and let go of the lever. Just think about the physics going on here now. You're leaned back so quite a bit more of your body weight is pushing down on this seat back that is now secured at only the bottom right corner. It holds well enough, after you've assembled the chair and get satisfied that you've tried it out enough. You haven't. It takes months. Rest assured that this metal rectangle behind your back can only take so much of this pressure leaning backward while attached at one single corner. Your weight will slowly push back on that metal frame and it will bend a bit near the lever that you pull. As time goes by, you will notice the back of the chair will wiggle forward and back a bit, but not much, and you begin to wonder why. This is the beginning of the end and you have mere weeks before it blows out completely. Why nobody else has said this is beyond me because I've experienced it two times now, in the same exact spot, but I have purchased yet another. They are comfortable and I have lower back issues so the included lumbar support pillow (as I can tell you from my personal experience) works quite well. The top pillow is not a head pillow so much as a neck support and it works too. The cheapness of the armrests just can't be fixed for you. Personally, I noticed the bolt holes were the same on every brand of chair like this so I found a $400 gaming chair in the trash behind a gaming arena and took the armrests. You will have hundred dollar chair armrests, and they are very similar, but I have $400 gaming chair armrests on my GT Racing chair, lol. They're just better. The included ones truly suck, they feel sooooo cheap. Anyway, watch my video. All the others are just fluff made by people that were paid to say those words. I was not. This is the truth!

As the title suggests, you get what you pay for. Its a solid chair that looks pretty good, is more than comfortable, has decent support, and holds up decently well. The only issue i've had is that the base area where you put your rear on the chair began developing a rip less than a year into my use of it. To be fair, I do sit kind of strange sometimes but never to the point where I could be digging my nails into it or creating a tear of any kind. It was small at first but eventually grew noticeable enough so I contacted the manufacturer and they promptly gave me a replacement part. I pleased to find the customer service to be very quick and responsive. To sum it up, yes the chair did break down a bit pretty early on me but the customer service and replacement made up for that. Again, you're buying a Herman Miller chair so don't expect top tier quality since this less than $150. You get what you pay for, and what you get is pretty good.

I bought this chair because it was included in a list of vegan office chairs (no real leather). I don't typically review items on Amazon, but this chair surprised me with how good it is. It's very well made and seems quite durable after a month of constant use. After putting my own lumbar support cushion on it as the one it comes with didn't quite do the trick, this chair is extremely comfortable. I often sit on it for four to six hours a day (often 3 hours at a time) and I don't get any back aches, whereas I was getting back aches frequently with the cheap chair I was using before. The assembly had some slightly annoying aspects, but it came with all the parts (including an allen wrench) and clear instructions. I'm terrible at putting things together and it only took me around an hour (and just a little bit of sweat) to build. And for those who (like me) think the racing stripe looks dorky (or, perhaps, inappropriate for a professional setting), the solid-black model makes the chair look far less garish. You still have the GT Racing logo on the chair and pillows, but aside from that you really couldn't tell it's a gamer/racing-themed chair.

There are some good and clever aspects to this but sadly those aren't enough to compensate the flaws. First, the up-and-down adjustable arms are nice but they pivot side to side (which is a good idea, theoretically) with the slightest touch so I feel like I'm constantly fighting them. The arm pads themselves are barely padded, dense, and are not long enough and should have another two inches on the back side of them. Sitting at the keyboard, my elbows are hanging slightly off the backside of the armrest. The seat cushion, as others have noted (and which, sadly, I did not read prior to purchase) is hard. Not rock hard, but definitely on the concrete end of the spectrum. I have not spent a full day in it yet (this will be my first) but an hour in it last night made me think this was likely a send back. My rear is already getting sore and it's only been an hour and a half this morning. There are no springs (that I can see or feel) so I don't think this is something that just needs to be broken in. Also, the rocking function is a bit RINO. Rocking in name only. Technically, you can make it rock but you have to be a power lifter to do so. My wife could not make it rock back at all and the only way to make it rock is to brace my feet against the back panel of my desk and force it back. Hardly relaxing. I have loosened the tension spring underneath as far as it will go, but this industrial-strength spring doesn't give easily. Yes, you can make it rock but if you're looking for a rocking motion like your grandma's rocking chair, this is not it. I get the sense if I let go suddenly with my legs, I'd be catapulted across my desk. The adjustable lumbar support pillow is a really great idea, especially that it's attached via straps and is very adjustable and then will stay in position. However, it was initially extremely stiff and unyielding, like you're sitting on a rock with a small round log in the small of your back. But it loosened up a bit, and so I unhooked and walked on it for a few minutes and that did seem to make a difference. I'll walk on it some more later to give my legs a break from the rocking spring. My favorite feature (and one of the main reasons I bought the chair) was the adjustable neck rest. This is the one part of the chair that is just perfect. The pillow is slightly more dense than it needs to be but again because of its straps, I'm able to get it exactly where I want it. I was in a car wreck, rear-ended, and so proper neck support is very important. I'll walk on it it too to see if I can soften it up a bit but even as is, it's really nice. I do wish the chair would lower a bit more. Because of the aforementioned RINO issue, my knees are jammed up against the underside of my desk. if I could lower it somewhat, it would be more bearable. I do like the look of the chair. It looks nice at the desk and the pictures make it look comfortable. But it's not quite living up to the pictures. I will make up my mind whether or not to keep it in the next 48 hours. Right now, I'm leaning (no pun intended) toward returning it. EDIT: After a few hours of use, and adding some additional padding on both the arms and the seat cushion, I was partially reclined and wondering if this would be doable (I loathe returning things and won't under most circumstances), when suddenly the back gave way and now the recline won't lock. It's going back.
