My gripe is about the overall design with the 2023 Bakugan reboot more so than the product, however the product reflects a stream of issues coming directly from the initial concept. Let me explain: Both the original and 2018 reboot Bakugan were easily accessible by only needing the bakugan and a few cards to play the game. However, the 2023 design made the Bakugan focus on spinning. The issue with this is that an arena of some kind is now REQUIRED for play. I already purchased several of the new Bakugan and had been using the lid of the Baku-tin (which has indentions on the underside) to play. The game, however, functions better in an arena that has room for the full scale game. The arena itself is full of disappointment. There were two features advertised that do not work at all: the stands are advertised to hold a phone to record play. This doesn't work. The angle just looks at the other stands and not the actual play area. The other marketing fail is the nubs on the sides of the arena that are used to display the top half of the special attack Bakugan. These nubs are too big for all but 3 special attack Bakugan I own, not working for at least 3 figures, one of which is the exclusive figure to this set. Those two features were advertised and didn't work at all, however, there is more to this that is disappointing. The sides on the arena do not hold on well. The red rims have popped off by the Bakugan simply bumping into it. A stronger attachment method would be desirable to say the least. However, I do have some praise for this. The base of the arena itself is sturdy and holds the metal cards wonderfully. Additionally, the grey stand segments were clearly designed to hold the Bakugan character cards, and it does so nicely. A majority of my gripes are with the concepts of the design, however, it does what a player would need it to do. Nothing more, nothing less. ... show more

This character almost folds into a circle like his brothers but not quite. It takes some effort to get all set up. It can be launched into a Beyblade arena. My kids would rather have a Beyblade or a regular Bakugan. It was fun to try it out.

My grandsons love both Beyblades and Bakugan, so this is a no brainer. Do I expect it to last? Not really, these toys can be fragile, especially if you try to force them. But kids enjoy them anyway, so it's good to have extra literally "waiting in the wings." They will love this Special Attack Dragooned with the ripcord induced spinning action. Can we say "Bakugan Brawl!!!!" anyone? ... show more
