  • Great quality! So comfortable!!
Color: Matte-black
This chair is everything it is advertised to be. I am 5’4” and 156lbs but wanted the big and tall option to have the back support while also being able to sit cross cross at my wfh desk. It’s comfortable yet has great lumbar support. It was a HEAVY box but I took all the pieces out downstairs and my 8 year old helped me get the pieces to my upstairs office. I think all in all it took an hour at most to assemble and the only part I needed help with was aligning the backrest with the seat to not strip the bolts. It was very easy to assemble and again, so comfortable!!! The picture I attached is the size and cushion comparison to a typical office chair. I had a delivery issue that had nothing to do with GRPLAYER but I messaged their customer service to let them know how their logistics providers were handling their equipment and they responded to my email in less than 12 hours with a sincere, heartfelt apology and honestly - for something they have no control over, that was TOP tier. They ensured me if there was any damage they would make it right but much to my surprise, there was no damage considering the destruction of the box. Customer service 5 star just like the chair. ... show more

  • Great chair with one caveat!!
I ordered this chair to replace my previous computer chair that lacked back support and was generally uncomfortable, and I am very glad I did!! I was looking for this style of chair and was looking over a few different similar options on Amazon. I did look outside of amazon as well, but Amazon had the best prices in my opinion. I was hesitant on each selection due to either pricing or reviews that scared me away. I ended up going with this one since they were offering a deal on the red and black one - as soon as I saw that, I was sold! I believe it was a middle of the pack price for comparison. Overall, I really like the chair, but it does come with one warning I will share below: **DELIVERY** 10/10 I ordered this chair and though I think it did say it was PRIME eligible, it showed that the delivery as a future date that was about two weeks out. I am impatient and entitled, much like most of us Primers, haha, but due to the deal, I bit the bullet and ordered and made myself forget about it since it would be a bit. MUCH to my surprise, it showed up a few days later at my doorstep!!! I was really excited!!! A+ on this category! **PACKAGING** 9/10 After reading some reviews that stated that the packing was rough, I'm not going to lie, I was expecting a mangled box to be at my front door. Also to my surprise, the box was perfectly fine! Maybe this was feedback that the distributor took and made the necessary changes? I don't know, but everything arrived undamaged in terms of the box. I deducted one point because one of the armrests (left side) had a "chunk" that lifted off the top a bit. To try and describe it, the armrests are like a hard foam, and best I can describe, it was as if something nicked the top flat surface of it and peeled back a small chunk, about the size of a pea. I pushed it back down and it sat. I forgot about it until writing this, and now cannot find it. **ASSEMBLY** 8/10 Assembly took about 45 minutes to an hour or so. It could have gone faster, but the screw hole on the back rest was crooked, so when attaching the back rest to the seat with the supplied bracket, I kept having trouble and eventually had to remove the back rest completely to try and see what was going on. The screw hole was slightly tilted which was making it hard to thread. Once I saw what was going on, I was about to put the screw in with that in mind and just came in at a slight angle. Everything else was pretty straight forward! **LOOKS** 9/10 This chair looks really cool. That said, I am in to cars and making them fast/cool, so I do have a bias. The only thing I don't care for as much are the wheels - as much as I love making cars look cool, I thought it was a little corny for computer chair wheels, lol. I don't notice it as much now that it has been assembled, though. **FUNCTION** 10/10 with one warning As I said, my old chair sucked, so this is in comparison with that chair. When it comes to function, this hit all the boxes for me. The material is soft and comfortable. The seat cushion is good for me, but I am 145lbs, so not sure how it would fair for a large individual. The chair is pretty wide so I think it would fit a larger person just fine, plus the arm rests can swivel and lock into three different positions - straight, pointed outwards, pointed inwards. Having them pointed outwards allows me to rest my elbows on the backs of them while gaming or working. The back support piece is SUPER helpful for me. It can be re-positioned easily and stays in place. The headrest is nice for neck support, but doesn't stay in place as well and can sag down, but not a big deal. The warning I was talking about is actually a perk of functioning, but not for me in one instance. Yes, the chair reclines all the way back. Even better, it doesn't tip while doing it, which I thought it surely would laid all the way back. The problem for me is that I was on a work zoom meeting that didn't require the camera on, I reclined all the way back and was "listening." I woke up later :-/ Good chair, I would recommend it! ... show more

  • Comfortable, goes together well, a couple of worries about longevity
Color: Matte-black
This is a chair with a lot to like, and a couple of concerns. Let's do the pros-and-cons thing. Pros: * Excellent assembly manual and parts organization. The manual is well-written; if it's translated from another language, it had a pass by a fluent English speaker. Folks, any time you localize, have a native speaker of whatever language you're going into give it a once-over. Also, the manual had a few ergonomic hints that will help with comfort. A nice touch. * Comfortable. I'm not a huge guy (6'1" 240 lbs, yes I need to lose a little) but I do sometimes have fit trouble in a standard chair (mostly due to long legs rather than a wide... seating surface). This is a good chair for a tall person, but as the arms are outward adjustable at the time you build it (and with a little bolt turning after), this will also allow for folks who are plus-sized. You can also leave them off completely if you want (which isn't true of all office chair designs). * Assembles well. Good fit and finish. All the bolt holes lined up, it was well packaged and arrived undamaged. * The parts card includes one extra of every bolt type. This is very much appreciated, even though I didn't need the spares. Every flat-pack manufacturer should do this. Cons: * The seat cushion is very firm. I wouldn't describe it as "hard", and I understand why (the foam won't compress all the way to the seat pan for folks at the maximum weight range this chair is designed for). We'll see what it's like after a long day. Also, very stiff foam like this does tend to break down over time. Ask me again in a year. * The support tubes for the leg rest seem flimsy, and the brackets through which the leg rest support tubes extend are plastic. I'm skeptical how much weight they can support, but I don't plan on using the leg rest anyway. * The cushion that comes with it can be used for either neck or lumbar support, which is nice, but it's held on by an elastic band that attaches with a mechanism similar to some bras. It'll come off when you don't want it to (i.e. adjusting it) but is a pain to re-attach when you do want it to. Insert standard stand-up comedy joke here. A pinch-buckle would have been better. * Cheap casters. But I ordered better ones, and it should be fine. Note that the manual and box have different branding. That's not uncommon, as many things like this are sold under different brands even though the product is identical across the brands. Must be an Amazon/bookkeeping thing. Overall, this seems to be a good chair. I like its appearance, it's comfortable so far, and assembling it wasn't a terrible ordeal. The price is also good for what you get. With the caveat of "let's see what longevity is like" and "better casters would be appreciated" I do recommend it. ... show more

  • Perfect for work
Color: Earth-black
I love that this chair has so many different options in terms of needing to adjust. I have arthritis so I wanted to try this chair to help with my pain levels compared to the chair I had before which had a shorter back and no support system built-in the chair itself is very comfortable. In my opinion I saw some reviews saying that it’s very firm but to me as an average size person I don’t find it to be too firm. It is not a plush chair, but supportive. The pull out leg rest is a great addition for raising your feet up or if you’re someone like me who needs to adjust a lot and a lot of the chair, the back, the arm rests etc are all adjustable so you can fit it to your needs. Assembly did take some time, around 30-40 minutes but WELL worth it. It is also very stable and easy to move around. ... show more

  • great chair for the price.
Color: Earth-black
im impressed, for background i have paid for and used a proper chair, so this is a first, also all the prevoius ones i used were just simple office chairs, now lets talk about my weight, im about 168-170 lbs, so yeah well under the rated limit for this chair, and i bought it such way because then the cushions wont squish under my weight, and ive used it for 2 days and i have some early reviews, this one being able to recline is just the best thing ever i have yet to take a nap in this but, since it can and the included head rest isnt the most fluffy but is quite enough for a neck support, the back bucket design keeps you in the center which is quite nice, the seat has 2 idk how to explain it but like cylinderical foams of sort that are quite nice feeling as compared to my regular flat office chair, the foot rest though a little hard to take out is a good addition, also adjustable arm rests! i love them, i can set them up how ever i want, now lets talk about the setup, it comes with a good allen tool, that has that beveled side to it on the long end so you can turn the screws while keeping the tool at an angle, i think they though about the setup process well, the instructions are quite nice and straight forward, they are idiot proof as all the screws have different alphabets, the casters are bit low quaility but i cant complain, and overall im impressed with how much difference a good chair could make, now i know this isnt the best ergonomic chair but for my work and style where i get up every few minutes its fine, if you keep seated for long hours maybe spend more and get a proper herman miller or a replica, but if you want a chair in a home for a medium budget its fine imo, the youtbers will tell you that anything lower than 500 is bad but we arent all millionaires. ... show more

  • Very Impressed
First off, I just want to say that this is a very good company. They have the best customer service that I have seen with any online company that I have ever dealt with. Other companies should take notes on how they should handle problems from this company. Now On to my review of this chair. I purchased the chair almost 5 months ago now and was pretty hyped about getting it. It is not very easy to find a chair for a larger person. I weigh 299 pounds and needed something that would support that. Some of the other office chairs I have had in the past said that they did support up to and over my weight and the gas cylinder would always give out. So far, I have not had any issues with it. Now I did have a few problems with the chair, and the company fixed the problem right away. The first was comfort. When I first got the chair, it was kind of stiff which is expected of a new chair. But the wings on the side of it would rub on my legs making it painful to sit in the chair for more than an hour. It seemed that the metal bars in it were too far pressed in. I contacted the company about it to see what they could do to fix the problem and they sent me out a cushion to help raise me above the cushion. That was good enough for me. Eventually I ended up not having to use the cushion. (I was working on losing weight.) They second problem happened with the wheel base. One of the supports that held the wheels in place had come apart. I contacted the company right away and sent them a picture of the problem and they sent me out a new base. Not the easiest to change out once you have set it in place. But after watching videos on YouTube I was able to get it replaced. Now 4 months later I did have another issue with the chair which actually happened to me 1 week ago now from this date. My arm rests were moving around a lot and I didn't understand why. So, I flipped the chair over to check and see if the screws had come loose. They were not loose at all. I then went ahead and took the arm rests off and as soon as I did I noticed a metal bar had fallen. I removed the felt that was hiding it and seen that the welds that held the bar in place had failed. I am not going to lie I was pretty bummed about it. I contacted the company and explained to them what happened, I sent in pictures to show the problem. They got back to me within hours of my complaint and sent me out another seat to replace the old one. I just got it 2 days ago and put it on and all is good again. Now one thing I noticed about the new chair seat is that the metal bars are not sticking in my side. Either I have lost weight (I have.) or they have fixed that problem. Either way I am completely happy. Now I am sure that there are other chairs out there that are a bit better in comfort but they also cost a lot more. This is a very nice chair for anyone looking to get a gaming office chair and not break the bank in the process. Just a few pros and cons about the chair. Pros: 1. Great Customer Service from the company. They actually uphold a warranty. 2. Affordable price for a gaming office chair. 3. The recline feature comes in handy and is really nice. Cons: 1. The arm rests should be a bit higher or be able to extend higher then what is allowed currently. 2. Not the most comfortable chair if you sit in it for extended times. More cushion could help this problem. Overall, I am really happy with my purchase and would recommend and use this company again in the future. I hope that someone finds this review helpful when going to purchase a affordable office chair. ... show more

  • Not the best chair... Had to buy several accessories
Color: Earth-black
I have so much to say that I had to compose in word… The chair was very easy to assemble and came packed with pride and care in a very nice box, but I find the design to be remarkably lacking, and the below stated demonstrates this QED. The suggestion to use the packing box as an assembly table is a nice idea, but the box is too wide by several inches to use in order to attach both arms. The sales ad stated 23.4” is the total width of the cushion, not the average sittable area. The lumbar support is laughable, and really ought to have been made inflatable if they were going to go with this route... I had to go back to my special support cushion. So do not depend on it supporting you if you have a bad back like I do. Secondly… My African-American friends have often said to me something like "Get your narrow little butt over here" because I have almost "No Butt!" - HAH!.. This chair cushion is NOT MADE FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME with no butt... you will need a support cushion; either a memory foam or inflatable. The seat is poorly cushioned with a thin layer set of polyester fiber file on top of rather hard, and possibly memory foam, and is as hard as a stone. (I have decided to get an inflatable cushion for now and my go memory foam, and currently sit on top of my soft memory foam backrest... I have had to spend almost half of the price of the chair to handle upgrades.) To top it all off it also leans forward a bit instead of being properly flat or at least adjustable, and there is no tilt for that or elsewise another kind of adjustment. I feel like I am constantly sliding off of the chair and will have to add shims to the mechanism in order to correct the forward leaning tilt that is bothering me even now as I sit upon my currently only office chair. I cannot sit in this thing without both the foot rest, and my foot stool, and I am still rolling down Lombard Street (Looks that one up folks. It’s in San Francisco). (My last one was so worn out that I had no choice.) The lean (not genuine tilt) of the back is marginally passable, but a mere 150 degrees is not built for relaxing. I am also having to get an even more deeply counter-sunk gas cylinder because this one is too freaking high. Don't listen to those who say the chair is also good for short people. I am 5' 6.5" in height. This already makes it almost impossible to find any furniture to fit me because the majority of people in America seem to be geared for 6' heights. The arms are kind of nice, but the over-all vinyl covering is rather thin. It will not stand up to cats... There is also 35% less space from my last chair for my cat to sit with me without knocking the keyboard off of my lap. I will be purchasing some leather and making an overlay for the armrests as soon as possible. It is... nice to be able to raise and lower the armrests. The casters they give are rather - extremely cheap. I knew this already and had procured some proper roller blade style casters with brakes so they will actually last, and I could lock the movement of the chair, and so they also do not get balled up with fuzz like the ones they sent will. Furthermore... This chair might barely fit a plus sized person, but it is not suitable for large people even with the arms mounted at the widest. I can take my medium-sized hands held flat with pinkies on the arm rests and thumbs on my person and put them down beside my hips and snugly touch the inside of the arm rests and my personage, on either side. Please keep in mind that I am not a large person. I could not find a proper foot rest on any chair out there without adding substantially more to the cost, and also making the chair non-movable, so there went that --and I must make sure to have parts for these current "Walmart style" designs. While not a totally horrid chair, it leaves a lot to be desired and I'm stuck with it now. I give the chair a three-star rating, and hope I can stand to use it once I get the last of the accessories that now total almost half the price of the chair… Namaste. ... show more
