  • Ridiculous but cool!
Color: Super Steel Style: Modern
This fixture is massive, but it works really well. Like any Grohe product, the hose moves easily and the water comes out and changes settings smoothly. The only thing I would change would be to add an adjustment so that the cross bar could be raised slightly. If you have an oversized or single sink, this is not an issue, but if you have a shallow double sink, there may be a problem with clearance. Installation was very easy. It is very attractive and is a focal point in the kitchen. To answer two guest questions that I had: The water turns on as soon as you turn on the faucet. The button on the handle does not control water flow, it only switches the flow from stream to spray. It automatically reverts to stream if you turn it off (good feature). The faucet rises 26 3/4" from the sink or countertop. ... show more

  • Avoid at all costs
Color: Chrome Style: 26-9/16 in. Faucet height
It looks great, it's solid and has a quality feel and finish. Unfortunately it's only as good as it's weakest link and at this point I've had to replace the wand 2 times in the time since I've installed it. Over time the wand eventually stops switching between spray modes, and there is nothing that you can do aside from buying an entire replacement wand. I've seen these cost as much as $95 depending on when and where you buy from. This is unacceptable. ... show more

  • Piece of Art
Color: Super Steel Style: Modern
I was using the Grohe K4 pull-out spray kitchen sink faucet which was nice and added some design to the kitchen. Always wanted a commercial type pull-down spray faucet and finally pulled the trigger on this Grohe K7. Wow! what a difference in form and function. The one thing I didn't like with the pull-out spray was the sound of the metal hose sliding in and out of the faucet body and sometimes it wouldn't retract as easily and felt "stiff" when trying to clean the walls of the sink. With the Grohe K7 pull-down there is no sound, the height/angle at which this is designed makes it much easier to spray down the walls of the sink when cleaning up, it swivels nicely and effortlessly and it's really, really cool to look at. Pulling down the spray seems more natural/flowing than pulling out and towards you as with the pull-out spray. I thought the K4 had nice form but this adds a certain wow! to a kitchen. Great price here on Amazon although I've been seeing the price fluctuate like waves on the ocean... FYI: Pull-out spray = fixed faucet with straight spout (you need to "pull-out" the spray as with the K4). Pull-down = faucet with downward pointing spout (you need to "pull-down" the spray as with this K7). ... show more

  • LOVE it!
Color: Super Steel Style: Modern
This is such a nice faucet! I love that is different than the traditional faucet. When guests come over they notice it right away and comment on how awesome it is and how it must have cost an arm and a leg. I love that the spray function button is on the nozzle, it makes it super easy to switch back and forth. I love doing dishes with this nozzle. I can easily maneuver the faucet to reach every corner of the sink, and even parts of our counter top when cleaning up. My husband loves to cook and manages to use an average of 6 pots or pans each meal. This faucet design was a necessity for our family. We are all very happy with it. It is stylish, an eye catcher, and easy to clean off. My only wish is that the base of the faucet was 4 inches or so taller- that or the bar that holds the nozzle in place were taller. It just means that I have to make sure the sink is empty to fill up a medium or large pot of water. ... show more

  • Be sure to get the DCO.
Color: Super Steel Style: Modern
This is a new design in kitchen faucets. It is meant to look like a professional faucet but not to be too overwhelming. Note that Grohe has just come out with a version of this that is 5" shorter. These come in two finishes, chrome and "SuperSteal" which is like stainless or brushed nickel. "SuperSteal" is a color name and does not indicate anything about what the faucet is made of. Be sure to get the "DCO" version and not the "DCE". The "DCE" has restricted wafer flow, which I think is a stupid idea. The handle on the DCO is very precise and it is easy to adjust the wafer flow if you want to save water. Out of all the faucets of this design, we like the Grohe design the best. Hans Grohe (a different company from Grohe) and Elkay also have a nice one. After that, they begin to look cheap. Like most kitchen faucets (even fairly high end ones) the head is made of plastic. However, the stainless steel finish makes it look and feel like the heard is real metal. Only time will tell how durable the finish is and how long it takes before you wear it down and the plastic starts showing. What I don't like is that the spring and hose are chrome. I was hoping to get something that looked like stainless steel or brushed nickel throughout. In the pictures of the faucet, they make it look like the spring and hose are not chrome, but they are. Since they are chrome, and mirror like, they do pick up the stainless steel look if you look at them at the right angle. But, it most light and most angles, they look chrome. The button on the head will change the flow from a regular stream to a shower. The shower pattern is fairly tight and does not spread out like our older faucets did. You can switch from stream to shower with the water running (some other brands will only switch back to stream when you turn the water off). Once the water is turned, it always goes back to stream. I like the Elkay faucet in that the switch on the head was three way, stream, shower or off. The only one nicer than this is from Waterstone. They are pretty wild looking and cost twice as much. However, the head on those are solid metal. ... show more
