Description

The Team Wendy SAR is the first purpose-built search and rescue helmet to provide accessory mounting capabilities while meeting key industrial and mountaineering performance standards. The Team Wendy SAR Backcountry features a polycarbonate shroud that is designed to handle lights and cameras. The helmet also includes a sport-style under the chin retention system with a magnetic buckle for easy one-handed operation and a BOA Fit System to dial in precise fit adjustment while providing single-handed quick release. The Team Wendy SAR comes standard with two vent covers to prevent objects and debris from entering the crown vents of the helmet. Available in Yellow, Lime Green, White, Black, Red and Coast Guard Orange. Available in one size: Fits head circumference 20 7/8" to 24 3/4" (53cm to 63cm), hat size range 6 5/8 to 7 7/8. Have used the nvg mount more than I thought for rescue with either go pro for training or light mount for nighttime missions. Wish this helmet used an ARC rail though. Love this helmet. I named her Wendy. Used it for HazMat Tech, and often forgot it was there. Reliable, light, comfortable, adjustable, multipurpose, and professional. Purchased a go-pro mount separately and get amazing footage with it. This is one of the best rated SAR helmets out there. It has a long list of standards that it meets (or exceeds), it's multifuncional (climbing, rescue, ropes, water, etc.) and its SUPER comfortable. I've worn it during training, for 4-6 hours without any issues. The extra pads let you adjust the vertical fit (plus provide more/less padding, whatever your preference might be). The BOA adjustment system is robust and super easy to use. The one drawback is the lack of attachment options for front-facing headlamps and the fact that the moment you attach a headlamp to it, you basically have to keep the (optional) visor down permanently.
