I did a full bathroom remodel and was laboring over all of the things I needed to buy w/o being able to test or at least see them in person.. This Grohe showerhead is one of the grand slams off my list. An absolute must-buy and highly recommended. First thing you must do (sorry environment!) is remove the water regulator located in the gasket. Not the mesh water filter (!) but the plastic regulator. I believe it was blue. Just use a sharp-edged knife to pop it out. That was the magic trick that makes this puppy gush like a waterfall. Of course it may be different in your home but wow, this is it... Funnily enough there is so much pressure and so many nozzles on this head that it almost negates the need for the recessed rainshower (Grohe 27816001) I had installed. If you're on a tight budget I would not reccomend the rainshower as it's a complete luxury item and just go with this fixed shower head. The handheld Grohe 26467000 shower was another mightily impressive beast once you remove the regulator.. You can feel the instant tension in the water hose from the rushing water. It's heavenly but be sure you buy the 26467000 full metal version as there is a cheaper plastic version that looks similar but cheapens a nice shower. Because I wanted to operate all three shower heads (rainshower, handheld, fixed shower) I had to splurge and buy GROHE 29142000, the three way regulator. That too is very impressive and love the fact each head has it's own on/off button. Wifey appreciates the simplicity and of course the high-end look.. ... show more

    • This is probably one of the few you can add over a normal bath tub

I had a standard small angled wall mounted shower-head and wanted a rain shower one. Most you can find are either too large to go over a standard bath tub, too heavy or drop too deep when you consider the arm. Now this is is 6" so about half of the size of normal ones, fairly light and the arm GROHE 26632000 which you will need is one of the ones with lowest drop you can find. If you are in a full bath renovation skip this, if you just want to upgrade your existing wall mount this might be a compromise which you can easily install yourself. This is described as 8 inches but appears smaller. The outline of the fixture is included so it is actually less than 8 inches. It would be nice if they made 10 inches. The next size I could find was 12 inches - was hesitant as water pressure may be lost with the increase in size. Not installed yet.

got it and didnt read the small print even when i saw on the pictures it's relative bigger then the usually size - however it was much small then i thought - let's say around 15 cm on 15 cm great product however i would prefer the bigger one real water fall which is 30 cm on 30 cm

Great shower head, great pressure.. remove the o ring for a bit more pressure. Remove the whole pressure reduced for max pressure. Make sure your water heater can keep up! Star light chrome stays clean and looks new for decades!

Oh it looks pretty, but it's cheap as hell plastic... so much for German craftsmanship. The might come from Germany but it's a toy. To Vincent: How do you know it looks good for decades? Your purchase was 2019.
