  • Practically perfect in every way!
Very nicely put together. I purchased this in part based on the concert sized review on gotaukulele.com. I personally found the concert difficult to bar at the first fret but this tenor is just right for hand at 28 mm g to a at the first fret. Wonderful volume, warm sound, action was a teeny bit high for me but it just adds a bit to the sustain so I plan to leave it where it is for now. Intonation was very good!! Gorgeous dark stain. Neck a bit rounded but very playable with the satin finish. What a gem!! ... show more

  • It is certainly worth what you have paid for it.
I am a novice with respect to musical instruments but I am very satisfied with this purchase. It certainly looks, feels and sounds like a high quality instrument. The rest is up to me. Can I become the master of this musical beast?

  • That Great Gretsch Sound
This is my first Ukuelele, but not my first Gretsch. I have played Gretsch instruments for 50 years. So when I got interested in the Uke and found the Gretsch 9120 there was no other instrument for me. It sounds great and feels good playing it. I am hardly a Uke expert, but I am quite pleased with it. The gig bag is a nice one, heavy cordura to protect the instrument and a generous side pocket for picks, capo, tuner, etc. The zipper is black against black material of the bag, so I recommend a splash of color (a name tag or even just a short hank of brightly colored paracord!) ... show more

  • Sounds good, looks good and plays well
This is not a high end ukulele but it is a very playable instrument that sounds good. The construction and finish are good quality. The instrument stays in tune and the intonation is good up and down the neck. The frets are nicely finished so there are no issues with the edges being rough. Overall this is a great value and suits my needs as a gigging musician who wants to add an acoustic ukulele to the mix. ... show more

  • Bigger and sounds good.
Sounds better than our pineapple ukelele. Easier to play too, according to the hubby, since it's longer than the pineapple ukelele.
