abunda_amazon_reviews Well I bought this chainsaw because of the many good reviews, and even knew it leaked a bit, but mine bleeds from everywhere. It is extremely messy. Once the oils is everywhere (even the battery and scrench) it stops working, I can only use it for a minute or two, then engine fails (I guess it is the oil everywhere) doesn't stay on for more than 2 seconds on. Just look at the pictures that I took after putting it over, 5 mins later. If this is the standard, I do not recommend it, if this is a bad one, I hope Amazon help me get this over.;;Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2019;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;I knew it leaks but this cannot be fine;;Willy Alfaro;;;Everything is great on this saw, power, battery life, chain tightening, however it has one design flaw...it leaks bar oil when not running. I called Greenworks customer service and they are aware of the problem. The bar oil reservoir is said to operate "as if it is running when there is in oil in the reservoir and it leaks out". Their 2 suggestions: A. run it till it is out of bar oil or B. Put a piece of cardboard under it when not in use. It leaks and makes a real mess. It is pretty light and quiet. Works great. I have gotten about 2 hours from one battery charge and it really does charge back up in about an hour. I use it so much around our small farm that I got a second battery. I am not comfortable with the gas saws but have no issues with the size and weight, plus safety features of this Greenworks saw. 14" seems to be a good size for my applications so far as well. One thing, before you use it, read the manual put in oil, and TIGHTEN THE CHAIN. Mine looked okay but came off after about the first 20 minutes. I can put it back myself so just an annoyance i could have prevented. Biggest thing I have cut so far was about 5" diameter and it powered right through it. Can't imagine that I would need anything more powerful.;;Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;NIce saw for a nervous user!!;;ME-S;;;My rating of 3 has two parts. The chainsaw gets a 5 and the battery gets a 1. The chainsaw cut through the wood extremely well. I cut down a tree that was about 18 inches in diameter and it cut through it very well even though that project probably required a bigger chainsaw. The problem is that if you are doing heavy duty cutting meaning felling a tree and cutting it into logs then the battery lasts a half hour at the most. I have two batteries, the 2.0 AH and the 4.0 AH and the 2.0 will last about 20 minutes and the 4.0 will last about a half hour if you are doing serious cutting. They will both last about an hour or so if you are trimming smaller branches. I'm VERY happy with how the chainsaw cuts but VERY disappointed in the battery life. If I was going to spend a full day cutting down trees with this chainsaw I would need at least 10 batteries to last the day without charging them. I assume the 16” chainsaw would have the same issue.;;Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2018;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;Great chainsaw, not so great battery;;cookster176;;;I'm writing this review a little bit prematurely because I haven't yet used the saw for any cutting. I have used the 80v saw and I really like it, and I've heard that the 40v 16in saw is awesome, so I'm hoping the 40v 14in is at least half as powerful as the 80v. But I wanted to point out to other buyers looking at this saw, that it says it has a chain brake. (Even on greenworks website it says it does) But it in fact does not! After receiving my saw I was a little baffled that I couldn't get the chain brake to work. So I called greenworks, and they told me that it shold work fine. (But the greenworks rep didn't even know what a chain brake was to begin with, so not very knowledgeable customer service) They insisted I return it for another one. But upon a little bit more detailed inpection, I see that there is a chunk of rubber blocking the chain brake from functioning. So this is really wierd... If they wanted it to just be a guard for your hand, why not just make it a fixed guard? Nope, instead they actually made it like a real chain brake that would pivot if the rubber wasn't in there to stop it. The manual (by the way) also doesn't talk about it having a working chain brake. So I'm pretty sure that there isn't anything wrong with this saw like the rep said. It was simply a poor design choice, and as for the website listing that it has a chain brake.... greenworks needs to correct that. Time will tell if I enjoy this saw or not, but a working chain brake was definitely a selling point for me, and now I don't have the feature, so that's disappointing. If you want a working chain brake, get the 16in saw. I do believe that one has a functional chain brake. Not a fake one.;;Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2017;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;False advertising?;;Grant Deisig;;;Well I used it for about 1 hour before the 2 Ah battery was spent. Its much lighter with the 2 Ah battery but with a 14" saw blade its takes a lot of current. I also have the 5Ah battery and the weight is noticeable after 1 hour but you go get more time. I use it to trim trees and brush on our property and compared to using a gas chainsaw its so much more pleasant without the noise and the starter pull. I definitely have more energy afterwards.I highly recommend it. Say goodbye to gas and exhaust fumes!;;Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;I highly recommend it.
