I just recently purchased this blower and string trimmer to go along with my new 30 in battery powered greenworks mower. I like the mower so much. I thought the tools would probably be good too. Plus it's important to get a platform that supports the batteries. Once you start down that road with batteries you have to get the accompanying tools. It's not the other way around. The tools are no good without the batteries. Of course. I also purchased a greenworks corded pressure washer recently that is Head and shoulders above what I used to use. I've become a big fan of greenworks. Recently. I replaced my older Riding gas mower with a battery powered unit. The gas mower only lasted two summers. Turns out the hydrostatic drives are very weak in these new gas mowers just got tired of all the problems with a gas mower. The batteries they must always have to be replaced each spring cuz they're very small and weak. The oil the gas, the smell the loudness don't miss any of that. I recently purchased this weed eater, and it performs impressively. It powers through thick grass and weeds effortlessly, and the battery-operated design is convenient and easy to use for most yard tasks. However, the battery is a significant drawback—it’s very heavy. At 5’2” and 125 pounds, I found it tiring to handle for long periods, as the weight throws off the balance. For someone my size, I’d recommend going with the 20 or 40 model, which likely have lighter batteries for better maneuverability.     • A Decent Cordless Trimmer/Blower Combo
Size: 40V Trimmer + Blower (2.0Ah)
I recently replaced my 15-year-old gas trimmer with this cordless unit because I was tired of trying to keep the gas unit running. This is my first experience with a cordless model. I'm still getting used to it, having used the trimmer only 3 times so far. It seems to work quite well, although maybe not quite as powerful as my old gas model. I have a 1/2 acre of property, which probably includes at least 500 feet of curb, sidewalk, driveway and flower bed trimming. The first time I used it I walked quite fast and was able to trim everything reasonably well plus use the blower on all edging except the flower beds before the recharge light came on. This set came with a 2.0 AH battery, but since then I purchased a 6.0AH battery to make sure that I always had an adequate source of power to complete the job, at a slower pace. I initially had a problem trying to assemble the blower tube, but after a few minutes was finally able to put the lower tube on. I've had a problem with the trimmer string, in that on several occasions it partially welded itself on the spool. I've purchased a can of silicon spray, have sprayed the spool and so far the string appears to be playing out as it should. For what it's worth, with the 6.0AH battery, the trimmer weighs about 8 pounds and with the 2.0 AH battery it weighs about 7.5 pounds. My old gas model weighed about 10 pounds with a full tank of gas, so being that I'm almost 80 years old, this is a bit easier to tote around. The blower does a decent job of blowing debris away. I would recommend this combo to other customers, and I'm hoping my "fix" to keep the string playing out will continue. Update - After reading another customer's review, and looking at a picture of the blower, it was obvious that my tube was at least a foot shorter than it was supposed to be. Why was that? On closer inspection I discovered a tube located inside that one. (It had been jammed inside and took a little effort in removing it). However, after removing it, it was then easy to assemble the tubes, and with the partial "obstruction" removed, the air velocity was greater. ... show more

I have been using the blower a lot and it's really great I have actually a lot of the 40 volt products and several of the blowers grandkids come over and help me for fall cleanup! I just put together the weed wacker and gave it a good test with some really tall grass and I am very impressed excellent It's just excellent! I am a 78 year old grandmother and if I can do it anybody can do it! I just can't pull to start my gas weed wacker any longer. And this is just wonderful! ... show more
