This trimmer is amazing. I have used kobalt, Milwaukee, DeWalt and none of them were as good as the green works. #1. This trimmer is just as powerful as the Milwaukee 18v fuel. So you won't have a power issue. It plows through just about everything. #2. Because this is the 60v line and you can pop a 4 amp battery in this thing it will outlast most other brands. This lasts about 10 times longer than a Milwaukee running a 8amp battery that costs more than this entire combo does. The value you get from this trimmer is crazy when you compare it to the competition. #3. It's crazy smooth. Some other brands have these weird unnecessary vibrations due to poor design. This trimmer won't cause any fatigue from vibration and is extremely light as well. #4. Replacing the line is super easy where you feed in the line and then just turn. No taking apart the whole thing just to replace the line. #5. If you are cutting extremely long grass the grass can get jammed in the spindle. I did not have this problem with the other brands. For some reason the green works as a slightly larger gap where long grass can get into. If you are not paying attention it can cause an issue. I had an issues when trimming common reed which is very think and grows about 6 feet tall. I haven't had this problem with regular grass. Trimmer is amazing and for the price is provided the best value on the market in my opinion. Nothing is as affordable and as good as these 60v green works tools. ... show more

I bought a Greenworks cordless mower 13 years ago and it's still going strong so when I decided to get a weed wacker it was a no-brainer. I needed something that could get through the thick weeds and this definitely does the job. The line feed and fill is great! Sure beats the heck out of the spools! And it lasts longer then I thought it would. So glad I stuck with this brand, I will be getting their leaf blower next! ... show more

I have had it for 3 weeks now , have used it 6 times for my yard and parents yard and have to say currently beyond pleased I switched from gas to battery. It has more power than my 27cc gas powered trimmer had . I almost trim my entire yard on the lower power setting , I very rarely us the high power setting , and it's is more than capable of edging through thick Ohio crabgrass along side walk with no issues . Battery life for me is at least 45 minute run time , I have never had it go dead before finishing yard , and that includes edging side walk , drive way and trimming around a decent size backyard. The only warning I will provide is 2 things . First they installed the line cutting device backwards on the guard which was causing me to only get about 11 inch cutting radius , I spun it around the correct way and now a perfect 16 inch cutting radius easy and simple. Second , if you are not a well built person with some muscle and upper body strength this device could be a little heavy , it is considerably heavier than my 27cc gas powered model , so just keep that in mind . Also battery charger is built well , fan and lights to know when fully charged , takes less than hour for me to be fully charged again. ... show more

Bought on July 2, 2025, and fell apart in May 2026. The motor rattles in the housing, and head won’t spin. Worked fine last year, but first time this year breaks down.

Light and powerful. This is actually the second one of these I've purchased here in Panama. The first one, I was clearing a bit of heavy and deep grass and I actually overloaded it. It killed it. It is the perfect weight and power for cleaning around the edges as it was designed for. I blame myself for not using the right tool for the bigger job. I have Greenworks, I have the Weed Eater, Trimmer and Leaf Blower. They are overall the best. I've tried other brands and to return them in less than a week. Greenwork products are durable, well built and keep a strong, longer charge. I won't buy anything else.
