I've been using this mower for around a month now and have mowed multiple times, and am fairly happy with the results. Here's are a few observations to help people who may be on the fence -I'm 6'4, and the handle is at the highest setting. It is comfortable to mow with and I don't have any back pain from slouching when mowing. It's easier to mow with than my gas self propelled, and is super lightweight. I was worried about it not being self propelled, but I would compare it to pushing a stroller (for you moms and dads out there) in terms of ease. -Do not get this mower if you want to mow anything more than a quarter acre on one charge. My entire property is roughly 2/3rds Acre and I usually have to break up front and back yard between charges. That being said, my back yard is easily 1/2 acre, and have only managed to mow it on one charge ONCE. Every other time, it's taken me anywhere from 2-4 charges to just mow my Back Yard -To maximize your battery life, you'll have to: A) Use the bagger attachment B) Cut high to not overwork the mower C) Do not mow in 95+ Degree Weather The battery will not last if you try to just mulch or cut too low. I have fairly thick grass in my back yard, and the lowest I can mow without bogging down is on the 3 height setting. The batteries s prone to overheating, so you'll need to try to mow in the evening, OR, take regular breaks to empty the bag to give it a chance to cool down. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. It was a good Segway for me to buy an Ego Mower next tax season that can handle the size of my yard on one charge. However, if you are wanting good performance for a smaller yard that won't break the bank, I highly recommend this mower. ... show more

I have been using this mover for about 1 month (about 4-5 cuts) so far i am very happy with it. The only downside is the battery life. It lasts about 30 min of run time on the 2x 4ah batteries. This is enough to cut about 1/4 of my half acre property and the batteries take about 2-3 hours to fully recharge. I just ordered an aftermarket set of 3ah batteries batteries so that at east i can cut my front yard one day and back yard the next. I have been using this with the mulch back shield on instead of the bag as the bag fills up really quickly (had to empty 4 times in my 30 min cut when i tried it). I would say that my size property is really the largest you would want to go with this level mower and even on mine should probably be using something larger for a more efficient cut. This would be amazing for smaller yards... My 11/yo son has no problem using this mower and is is light/easy to push. ... show more

My mom had a old Honda lawnmower, which had to be serviced every year. I thought since her lawn was real small it would save a lot of life on the gas mower, which was mainly used to mow the hill (wild grasses). This was a great buy to do that. Easy to set up and start up, and easy to push around. It’s smaller than a normal sized mower so you might have to take make an extra pass. Love also how easy it is to adjust the height with the button/lift. I have a larger model, with a turbo option, for my house and much larger lawn than my mom. My only suggestion on the model being reviewed is add the Turbo button to this to help suck up needles/ small debris a little better. ... show more

    • Buyer Beware of Greenworks Lawn Mowers

Bought and used this mover occasionally for just about 1 month before the blade assembly came loose and dropped. Batteries and charger were no problem. Didn't get a chance to use the drill. I was relatively happy with lightweight and maneuverability (approaching 70 and arthritic hip) until the mower fell apart. What I don't like about the mower, aside from poor quality, is that the majority of these newer mowers seem to be mulch mowers/baggers. Grass collection creates 1 heck of a lot more work. I didn't use the bagger and had to use as a mulch mower (no side discharge). As I want to leave the cut grass on the yard, I want a side discharge mower. These mulch mowers are a royal pain in the backside. Where have all the new side discharge units gone? Give me what I want & need at an affordable price!!! At least I was able to return this package to Amazon for a refund. ... show more

I'm glad I bought a greenworks electric lawn mower instead of an unknown brand because their customer service is thorough. I had an issue with one of the two - 24 volt batteries not working. Alex the C.S. Rep. ran me thru some diagnostics and when that failed to produce a fix, I was mailed a new battery ASAP. Alex also helped me with how to remove the mulch plug and explained it's uses. While I dislike battery mowers overall this one is impressive. It has enough power, and the batteries can be used for my other Greenworks tools. It's lightweight and with gas prices rising it's really a great idea overall. It picks up clippings better than my gas powered one as well. I haven't tried it on really wet grass yet. But this is a nice alternative to a gas mower. So far, I recommend it. My only issue was one battery not registering correctly on the charger, but I think it was the contact as it also seems ok now. ... show more

This is my first battery lawn mower. Wasn't sure what to expect. I have a small grass back yard and smaller grass area in the front. The mower doesn't should to strong at start up, but a second or two later it is ready to go. It cuts my yard very easily. The only thing I seem to worry about, is the wheels. They just seem like a cheap plastic. But then again, this is not a high end mower. But it works well for my application, and the price was right. ... show more
