Probably the worst customer service I have seen in my entire life. The first call was answered after 30 mins wait time and the agent disconnected in 2 mins after getting my details and asking for the product manual. The second call was answered after ~ 40 minutes wait time and she was so rude. The product I bought is a brand new one and just assembling it. One of the part is defective. Today is 04/28 and the Agent said the product can be shipped only in 10 business days after 05/02. Effectively I am being asked to wait for 3 weeks. When I said I need to speak to the supervisor, she disconnected the phone. The product being defective is not a customer's problem and Greenworks should own that. My whole afternoon got spoiled waiting in phone for more than 90 minutes and an arrogant attitude shown by Support team. If I am not going to get any response, I would never ever buy any Greenworks product and recommend the same to all my friends. ... show more

I was a bit skeptical at battery powered mowers so I took some time and did a lot of research over this last winter before purchasing this, and notifying my yard guys I no longer needed them. I have now mowed 5 times this season (2018) and so far my expectations were exceeded .....by a LOT (I don't say that often ;). I don't have large yards, front or back, and don't even come close to using up all of the batteries, even with mowing, trimming, and blower all with the same battery. I alternate between batteries each mowing to keep them 'moving'. (I know, too many () and ,) Summary: 1. The cut quality is great. 2. The mower is super light. 3. It's quieter than my vacuum cleaner. 4. The batteries charge quickly. 5. No gas to purchase. 6. No oil maintenance. I should have done this years ago. ... show more

This is a great mower! It's powerful enough to get through my rather thick grass even when I've let it get taller than I should. I LOVE having a quiet, efficient, easy to use mower that doesn't belch smoke or required me to buy gas! The two battery system is great - I can do both my front and back yard twice before both batteries are exhausted. They charge quickly. Plus, the batteries can be used in other GreenWorks devices, which is super convenient and avoids buying more batteries. I did have a problem with one of the batteries a few weeks after I got it, after having used it a few times. But I called customer service, on a Sunday even, and they sent me a new one, no problem.     • I really wanted to love this product.

So, I purchased this product back at the start of spring this year and even purchased their string trimmer too. I had such high hopes for this and wanted to love it and do right by our environment and not purchase a gas mower. Between the two units (mower and string trimmer) I had a total of three batteries and three charges at this point which should more than suffice for my lot size. The first issue that I have is that the batteries will not start immediately charging, so if I can't complete my yard before the last battery runs out, I am screwed for that day. Once a battery runs out and you place it on a charger, the unit sits with a green light on showing that it is fully charged when it is dead. The battery has to sit on the charger for 2/3 hours before it will start charging and the same is true for all three of my batteries and all three charges. I called customer service (a nightmare to get through to them btw) and they sent me a replacement charger which is how I obtained the third one and it has the same issue. Now for the mower, the unit is no longer working as of September and I purchased at the end of March. Finally, I was able to get through to customer service and the lady was extremely rude and condescending. I don't want to go through a long list of how they could improve their customer service but long story short I have to drive an hour one way to now drop off my defective machine for a review to see if it can be repaired or not and can't even get through to the repair shop they are trying to send me to. I believe a bit more R&D needs to go into this product before it is released to the public and it could then be a great product and a greener choice for the end user. ... show more

I actually really loved the mower. It got together real easy the batteries charged right up and it started instantly. It cut grass like a dream is easy to maneuver was everything I expected it to be. Now the downside: I was cutting in 96° weather with a heat index of 110. I stopped to get some water And the mower did not start again. I brought the batteries inside to cool, and tried everything I could think of but ended up giving up with my grass has cut. I left it alone till the morning and tried again and it started right up. Reading the website I learned that the engine can shut off for overheating. Where I live overheating is every day just would not work out for what I needed. I tried everything.
