  • Light weight , and oh so quiet.
Size: 19" Mower (4.0Ah + 2.0Ah) Pattern Name: Lawn Mower
Easy to push, very quiet . Simple to assemble if you call it assemble . Open the box , remove it. Attach the handle with the provided adjustable locking nuts and install the charged the battery..it comes with two batteries. One large one small. Press the start button first then pull the small handle on the push bar back . Some users confuse these two steps. It comes with a small bag or is set to mulch, and it has a chute of you want just blow the clipping out and away. I didn't get the amount of battery time expected out the first cut using the larger battery , but please know the grass was higher and a little damp. My use is primarily trimming and cutting the dog poop pen ! Great features like the folding handle for storage. No gas, no oil. Didn't experience any of the first time users concerns reported by others. I have a power sprayer from this company. It works off a power cord . It has lasted longer and work better than other brands I've owned. I also bought the trimmer. The batteries swap out very easily . The trimmer is very powerful! Quality seems very good . My wife and daughter are the primary " pushers " . I have a flat large yard and the main cutting is done by a rider. The grass type is typical Blue Grass Mix found in Southern New Engalnd. Update after about four cuts ...still finding the battery life short of what I expected. Oddly the smaller battery seems to last longer . I will try to contact the maker and see if it's something I'm getting wrong. Still a good purchase . Easy to push and powerful in high grass . ... show more

  • SO MUCH BETTER THAN GAS
Size: 19" Mower (4.0Ah + 2.0Ah) Pattern Name: Lawn Mower
I bought this to use as a trim mower around shrubs and trees on my almost 1 acre property which has a bunch of fruit trees. I have a big lawn tractor to do the bulk area. But the Greenworks 19" is such a pleasure to use compared to a gas push mower. Never, ever again will I go back to the gas "Model T" mower. It was great in its time, but time has moved on. Lighter, quieter, cuts well, intelligent (speeds up automatically if going over dense or tall grass). It's really a joy to use. And by the way, that Greenworks has gone all out to offer other garden tools that run off the same battery. I just orderd the pole saw, and because I now have the battery and charger via the mower the cost of the saw was only about $100. Can't wait to tackle the branches. I can't speak to it's longevity, yet, but for now I am delighted. UPDATE: 5/13/2021. I was a bit disappointed with something on the mower. The mower has a "flap" to the rear that I presume is a safety device, making it more difficult to accidentally slide your foot under the back of the mower. The flap works fine going forward, but pulling the mower backwards it always added some resistance to my pulling. I did not like that. I decided to turn the mower sideways to examine it. When I did I found that the flap connection (a thin rubber piece) was substantially worn away. Keep in mind I use this mower as a "trim mower", it is not used as my main mower which is a tractor. So it hasn't been in heavy duty use. For the flap to be so worn is disappointing. On the plus side, a simple tug and the flap came off in my hand. Now the mower is just as easy to pull backwards as push forwards. It really appeared to me, because everything is so well engineered on the mower, that the flap was an after thought, possibly a safety requirement added to comply after the fact. I would still buy this mower overall, but am hoping they make some product improvement concerning the flap, both longevity and the ease at which it works when pulling the mower. ... show more

  • Mower Meets Most Needs
Size: 19" Mower (4.0Ah + 2.0Ah) Pattern Name: Lawn Mower
The mower arrived on time and was a cinch to put together. It's light, starts easily (glad not to have to pull cords anymore) and does the job. Adjusting mowing height is easy but there are many settings for lower mowing heights rather than higher ones. I've used the highest two mowing heights for my part-shade, New England lawn. Going lower would stress the grass. It doesn't have nearly the power that my former 6.5 HP gas mower had. It cuts the lawn just fine but I'm feeling skeptical about its ability to mulch leaves in the fall. Right now, it doesn't seem to suck up the occasional scattered leaves or mulch them very fine. I may be doing more raking of leaves this fall than I wanted to. I used to be able to mow most of it into the lawn. We'll see. It takes a half-hour to mow my lawn. The larger battery gets the job fully done with some left over. I agree with those who critique the skirt in the rear of the mower. I have to back up a lot to mow my yard. I suspect that this skirt won't last long from flapping back and forth as I go forward, then pull back. Because it's so light, it tends to bounce around a bit over even slightly hard or uneven ground. No big deal though. I vote for the lightness. Its hum is much quieter than my old gas mower. Overall, it's a good mower for ordinary grass mowing and for the price, especially when on sale. I'm so glad to be done with gas, oil, air filters, mufflers, etc. We'll see how it holds up over time. I wish it had easy fold-downable handles so it can be tipped on its side and stored very compactly during the winter. The EGO mower that I considered as an alternative to this one has a great system for this. But it was $200 more. Greenworks should consider this simple upgrade in handles. ... show more
