So I am pretty fussy when it comes to my vacuum cleaners, and I have had many over the years. I have had several different brands of vacuum, and lately have been quite impressed with the newer Dyson series (some of the older ones not so much). When I got my Dyson stick V8, I was so impressed. I have used it for years and years now, and finally have decided to try a second stick vac to see what I thought. This Greenworks stick vac did not disappoint. It's lightweight. I love that it's a balanced canister; only a little heavier than my Dyson, but not by much. I absolutely love that the battery is removable, and what's more is that I love that it works with all the other Greenworks rechargeable batteries. I have a whole set of Greenworks tools in the garage, so now I am all set. One thing I am so glad to have on my stick vac is lights. I didn't realize how helpful the LED lights are for tracking down dog hair. You can really illuminate the floor and get ALL the hair. I also like that this stick vac has 3 levels of suction, so you can find the speed that works for you and your project; lovely. The only thing I don't love is that the canister on this isn't as big as I might have liked. Since I have dogs, I wish I could go a bit longer without having to empty it. Also, the hair gets stuck up inside on the filter every time, so I have to take the entire filter out of the canister and pull the hair off with my hands. It's not a deal breaker, but I'd prefer to just open the bottom of the canister and have everything fall out. Overall though, this vacuum really does a wonderful job. It's very low profile, so I can get under cupboards and chairs easily. It's maneuverable and light. I love the lights. It's a WAY better price than a Dyson, and it performs marvelously. I found myself asking, “how many vacuums is too many vacuums?” I having a corded vacuum and a robot vacuum. The corded vacuum works phenomenally but is a pain to get out and lug around. The robot vacuum does just okay, but often misses large areas of heavily trafficked rooms. I needed something that I could easily use throughout the week to help cut down on the dirt brought in by my dogs. This vacuum does that AND more. It is so lightweight and easy to use it makes cleaning a variety of messes a breeze! The upholstery attachment works better than my Dyson on dog hair, and the dusting attachment has been a GAME CHANGER in cleaning baseboards. The suction is so fantastic you can literally see and feel it pull rug up! There are only a couple downsides and that is the battery and the regular floor attachment. The battery on the highest setting lasts less than ten minutes, but on the medium setting lasts about 20. If you use the eco mode it lasts a lot longer, but the power doesn’t work as well on heavier trafficked areas. The regular floor attachment feels kind of cheap while using, like the gliding and maneuvering power is toy like. However, this vacuum is fan freaking tastic and a great buy ... show more

    • Not quite what I was expecting
Style: 24V Stick Vac Deluxe Ver (White)
When I first charged the battery and tried to use it, it got only 10 minutes on that charge. That, I decided was a non-starter, and, thinking the battery defective, I called the warranty service number. A very pleasant person explained that on the high power setting it did only get 10 minutes. On a lower setting it would last better, and it does--better, not great. If i lived in a clean house it would do fine, I suppose. However, I live with dogs who shed and track things in and slobber a lot. It does ok on the wood floor on the low setting, but the rugs and carpet require the higher power that only lasts 10 minutes. Oh well. It recharges quickly--in just about the time for a sit-down coffee break. (Could that be considered a feature?) I love having the extra attachments that i can use for everything other than floors--especially making a quick job of cleaning the car or cleaning blinds. Two of the attachments clip onto to the handle so they are readily available--the other two are housed on the recharging station. I like that they all have a home so they don't get buried in the back of the closet. This was purchased because i was tired of lugging an ancient (but still perfectly functioning) Electrolux up and down stairs and fighting to get it in and out of the hall closet. Bottom line is that i will use this a lot for most things, because it is SO much easier, but i will probably save the ungainly Electrolux for occasional, really heavy duty cleaning jobs. ... show more
