    • Best to know the limits first
After all, nothing is perfect. My regular pans are Circulon anodized from their top end line. I bought the 11 inch grill pan and the 5 quart saute pan to see how they work but was mainly interested in the grill pan for making batches of pancakes on the stovetop. The grill pan can make four 4 inch pancakes at a time. These ceramic pans use a coating of Thermolon for a non stick property. That product will wear over time and Greenpan does not say how long that takes, but the warranty is two years on manufacturer defects. “Rules” that Greenpan mentions and others I abide by: hand wash don’t put in the dishwasher, don’t use cooking sprays or extra virgin olive oil as those leave a residual burnt on coating, use a little butter or regular olive oil, don’t use metal utensils or store with other metal pans or utensils inside that may scratch the surface, don’t use high heat or allow food to burn inside the pan, and don’t shock the pan’s metal core with rapid temperature changes. All in all I am pleased with the purchases. Only caveats are these do not appear to be the most durable products and buyers should be aware of the limits the pans have before buying. They are attractive pans and seem to work very well so far. The handles get a bit hot on the stove where they attach to the pan but not the whole handle. The pans feel relatively thin but they heat quickly and evenly in my experience. Use on heat no higher than medium to prevent burning. Greenpan advises that once the Thermolon coating is not providing non stick cooking to just use the pans as if they are enamelware. ... show more

Some complaints here about this not cleaning up well but I have not had that problem. I've kept the heat (gas) at no greater than medium and perhaps that's the key. After all, that's what the instructions say. Otherwise, it's so nonstick that everything just slides around and sometimes must be chased! LOL! That's what you expect, right? So far this is just what I was looking for in such a pan! ... It's now 3 months later and it's losing its nonstick capabilities for some things. I'm not amused. Clearly there's still a ways for the technology to go before it can really replace Teflon. ... show more

    • Decent pans with a few minor issues
I purchased this set to replace some existing nonstick cookware I had that was the older style. A family member has had two pieces of the same make and model GreenPan cookware (skillet and griddle) for a year now, and they have held up under household use. That said, I do have a couple of issues with the designs. First, they don't label the pots with their capacity on the bottom, as do pretty much every other pot I own. It doesn't really matter on the skillets, but for the saucepans and stock pots, it's nice to have that as a reference. They engrave their logo and some hieroglyphics on the bottom, so it wouldn't be much of a change to add labels like "2 Qt" as well. The second is I don't trust the size capacity they have given them. As an example, for the 3 qt saute pan was purchased to replace an existing 3 qt (printed on the bottom) saute pan, except the GreenPan one is about 3/4 the depth, so it won't hold as much as my old pot. As this is the pot I make mac and cheese in, this is significant. ... show more

I’d like to start by saying that I’ve followed the directions impeccably. This pan has never been heated past low medium. I allow it to slowly warm up, I use real oil and nothing else. Despite this, the pan is getting worse and worse. Would never purchase again.

It is fast. Faster than my other all-clad griddle, but the taste of eggs is so so. I think this griddle is for pancakes, pizza sort of bread related to thinner food. The problem with this is that if you don't know what kind of food you're gonna eat before buying, this might not be even used most of the time. I wish they state what is the best cuisine you can achieve from. It is a good product nothing wrong. The layer thin shape means some research before making decision. Revised in a month. Scrambled eggs are divine with this. Takes two min includes cleaning time. That alone totally worthy of purchase. ... show more

I bought to replace the previous griddle pan because I had bought some egg rings and the previous one was not actually flat and the eggs ran out of the ring. This is flat enough that the eggs do no run out of the ring so I can make my own egg mcmuffin.
