We bought this system for our lake cottage. To filter out lake water & reduce our plastic water bottle use. However, even though it was fast shipping, it was delayed one day & we didn’t get it in time so that review to come nxt spring. However, we use this for our daily drinking use in our home, fill water bottles & for coffee ect. Our well water tastes great now. It has no taste at all, it’s smooth and our family comments how they feel less thirsty after using it, like we feel like it’s more hydrating, quenching thirst so much better than with our regular well water. This system is well made, attractive and easy to fill. I think the stand is a must on a counter top. It helps w/space. Now what we struggled with….the instructions. How to put it together is not great! It doesn’t tell you how to put the spigot together w/the washers. It has what I assume is extra washers for replacements but it doesn’t tell you that so I was worried I didn’t use enough of them. I just wanted to know for sure so I didn’t have any leaking. I had to research YouTube to find a video for a similar unit. The instructions do not list a web site or name of the manufacturer on it and finding a “how to” video wasn’t easy. Thankfully, this unit can use Berkey filters so watching the Berkey videos prime their filters wasn’t difficult. The rest of the instructions were fine. I recommend watching just Berkey YouTube videos on how to clean your filters and prime them& how they work. I did soak my new filters for many hours prior to priming as instructions said to do. That’s very helpful before priming. We have had no leaking whatsoever. Just be cautious not to over fill it, it will overflow from lower unit all over your counter if you do that. You will learn how much to fill as you get used to the unit. It’s a good unit and we are so happy with it. Hope this was helpful to others.

Me encanta es de fácil uso, un consejo dejar que el agua se termine total y con cuidado darle enjuagar los tanque hacerlo por lo menos una vez a la semana porque siempre queda un poquito en los tanques y es bueno que tenga rotación total el agua,pero en general es excelente,sabor color, se siente lo fresca y limpia. Lo único que le mejoraría sería sacar un poco más la canilla para facilitar llenar las jarras grandes

The price was right, and the product seems to be well made. With some exception. The stand seems a bit iffy. It didn't hold together well, so I didn't trust it with. It also came with a rubber ring for the base. I just keep it on the edge of my table for pouring. Another thing to consider with this type of filter. While the assembly was quick and easy. Priming and rinsing the filters is very time consuming. I am currently only using the carbon filters. I have no way to test the water quality yet. I've looked at a lot of filter reviews and tests. While I would like the flouride removed. There is some concern with those filters leeching out aluminum. Anyway, overall I think these are a great value. 👍

Oh my goodness. What an incredible difference in the taste of our water. We have an all house charcoal filter to remove chlorine but still had a soapy metallic taste. It is now gone. So happy for this purchase.

We put this on our berkey and love being able to see how much water is left. The spout works great once we figured out that it worked differently than our original stainless steel spout. On our stainless steel spout, you could lift the handle and fill something up without holding it. We made the mistake of doing the same with this one, but, I'd you don't push down on it right after that it will drip very slowly and flood your kitchen with freshly filtered water. This happened to us multiple times before we figured it out. A HUGE pain in the butt!! However, once we figured out to only push down on the handle we have not had an issue. Another complaint is that the metal edge around the glass tube is a tiny bit sharp. If I'm not careful it scratches my nail when I use it. However, I am the only one that's happened to so its probably not an issue for most people.

This Berkey upgrade came with a learning curve! The water level visibility is fantastic, but the new spout took some getting used to. Unlike our old stainless steel one where you just lifted the handle, this one also includes a press-down option. So you can push down and it will auto shutoff. Or you can toggle it up (lift), but then you MUST toggle it back down to shut off the water...Perfect! Overall, this was worthwhile addition despite the initial hiccups and spills!
