We've had these for a while now to replace an old teflon set. We've been very please so far. The inside looks like when we got them. Don't really look at the outside, they're not an art piece. We don't use metal implements as you can't change the laws of physics and even soft will eventually cause wear. We don't overheat them (again with the physics). We cook on gas and throw them in the dishwasher when done. Occasionally the dishwasher won't get off some glonked-on food in which case, it's a quick scrub and back in the dishwasher. The only complaint, as others have mentioned, is the lid handles which could do with some insulation. Maybe zip-tying some silicon tubing on would do the trick. Edit: 9 months later and the set is holding up well. Unfortunately, there are scratches in the small pot. I don't use metal utensils but it seems someone in my family is. ... show more

Received my 13 pc box yesterday and couldn’t wait to tryout. After unpacking everything ( which was packaged very well) I started to give them a washing. I immediately noticed that almost every pan and pot handle had some degree of scratching on them. The design is a slight brushed stainless steel look , but it looks like areas of swirling scratches on them. Almost as if they were buffed with a course material instead of something soft so as not to damage the new finish. All of the glass lids had some faint smudge like residue on them which looked like it would just wipe off with a quick wash. Not so. I tried 4 times to wash it off with no results. Ended up having to get it off with 409. I had to use goof off to get it off my fingers. After 2 hours of working on the lids ( and just getting takeout to eat) they were finally clean. Needless to say, my expectations of “new” looking is not the same as Granitestones quality control. Since these issues do not affect the use at all, I’m keeping the set. I already have two pans and love their performance. But my excitement of getting new cookware was gone before I even used them once. ... show more

I purchased this set a few months ago and have been using them exclusively. I needed to replace my old non-stick set so I chose this one. I have had an 8 inch Granite Stone pan for several years now and based my purchase fro this set's decision partly on that pan which has held up swimmingly. This set really isn't the same animal as that one Granite Stone pan. One of the things I dislike about it is the smooth bottom. When stirring something, the pot or pan tends to move or slide as it has not grip circles on the base then ends up scratching the anodized coating. After reading other reviews, I have to say... why would anyone put a pan with a anodized coating in the dishwasher? IT WILL STRIP IT! Yes it says "dishwasher safe", but that doesn't mean you should. And why would anyone put a non-stick pan in the dishwasher anyway. Can't be that hard to clean in the sink. But I digress. I'm not sure I'll even try putting them in the oven (even though it says "oven safe"). I have a nice big stainless steel pan for that job. I don't have a big family to cook for so obviously this set will last me longer than someone who does. I just wanted a replacement set for the set I had where the non stick coating was starting to breakdown. This set has just about every pan for every cooking situation you'll need. The saute pans were a bit shallow in my opinion, but I'm sure I can work with that. I also purchased a multi size set of spider mats to put in between the pots and pans to keep them safe from scratching while stacked. I do hope these last and only time will tell. I cannot yet attest to the "durability" of the set as I just haven't used them overall enough yet but like I said, so far so good. It would make an excellent gift for someone just starting out cooking or setting up new housekeeping. It really is a complete set and won't need much else. ... show more

Its a good set to have but I just dont like the bottom of the pots and pans are easy to get scratched from my electric coil stove for just the first used. I dont have any issues so far beside that.

The handles on the lids are very hot to the touch. They should be covered with a rubber. Also, the large skillet doesn't have a lid. All other aspects of these items are top notch.

I cook and bake a ALOT. I previously had two very high quality sets of pans which are both still in excellent condition(Emeril pans and Wearever pans) I fell in love with these diamond pans at a vacation rental and my husband bought this set for me even though I already had two great sets because they are far superior to the ones I had. I was incredibly impressed with the quality when I received them and having used them for the last 6 weeks they have far exceeded my expectations. These are actually all nonstick and incredibly easy to clean. The handles don’t get hot when cooking with them and I have a gas stove and are also very ergonomic. I love that the skillets stay hot longer than other brands when you remove them from the heat so when the food is finished cooking you can pull them off the burner so it stops cooking but it stays warm for quite a while so your food doesn’t get cold. They look really nice so I wouldn’t be opposed to serving from them. I love that they’re nonstick and you can use metal utensils in them without scratching. I had an expensive fancy copper skillet(supposedly nonstick) not true at all. I gave it away when I got these since they truly are nonstick. Also this set came with so much more than most sets at this price. It is an incredible value. I highly recommend them to anyone. ... show more
