  • My wife says they perform well.
They seem very well-made. I’ll be interested to find out how long the stone coding lasts. My wife says they cook well and heat distribution is very even throughout all pan sizes.

  • They're good, but not the best
UPDATE 08/2023: I have officially ruined these pans. They began to lose their nonstick coating some time last year with almost daily use. A bit of unattended spinach is now a permanent addition to them (I had Covid, mkay?), and thus the most commonly used pans in this set are no longer nonstick. There's also a slight warp in the biggest one - oil runs off the center. It's fine for greasy foods, but things like potstickers and eggs need a different pan. If I need to brown something that requires a bit of scraping to deglaze, a steel-bottom pot is still my go-to, as nothing comes off these pans easily anymore. Hope that helps someone looking for a lifelong friend in their pans - I don't think these are it. They gave me a good 3 years, though. Cheers. ORIGINAL 11/2022: I've been using these pans for a year in December. I waited a long time to write a review because as someone who cooks A LOT, I wanted to let others know how these hold up over time. So, this review is after a year of almost daily use. My husband got me the 3-pan set for Christmas. There are no lids, just to clarify. Right away I noticed that the surface coating feels a lot like teflon. After a good scrub with a nonscratch sponge, I filled them all with water and lemon to try and boil away the weird smell they were putting off. I tasted the weird chemical odor in the food, too. So I took my time trying to cook/scrub/boil away the smell. I have a sensitive nose, so this may not bother others. The smell did eventually go away after about a week of heavy use. Right away I noticed that the handle rivets on all 3 leak. This isn't a problem with water, but with oil it could be a hazard. I took a picture of the handle rivets and the oil burned on to show where it leaks from. How have they held up after a year? So-so. I cook all manner of dishes in these, from morning potatoes to shakshuka, to alfredo, to Thai fried rice. And I'm cooking for 5, so the biggest pan is always on the stove. My clan has very strict instructions regarding my pans: No metal utensils. No dishwashers. No hot/cold shocks (cold water on a hot pan). That's it. Still, somehow, these pans that claim to be safe for metal utensils have scratches in them. I tried to get the pictures, I hope Amazon preserves the quality so you can see. Also, there is discoloration in the center of the pan, and it's no longer 100% nonstick. I've noticed through the years that teflon has about a year of heavy use before it comes off. Nearly the same here, except whatever they used on these pans doesn't flake off, it just kind of gets... thin? After a year, I have to be more careful with oil and food placement in these pans to avoid things sticking. Things take a bit more coaxing now to be "nonstick." It's problematic for sunny-side-up eggs, which need to be able to slide around in order to get that perfect cooked white and runny yolk. The other two pans in the set aren't as abused as this one and have held up much better, preserving their nonstick nature. These pans also do not transfer heat very well. That's just what you get for having light, easy-to handle pans. My ancient stovetop has hotspots and you can even see in the picture exactly where this hotspot is - by the handle, as I always place the handle in the same place when I cook. I think it's a worthwhile trade, honestly, because that's literally the only thing keeping me from using cast iron instead - the weight. My wrists can't handle a heavy pan AND 5+ pounds of food. So these are great for that. The curved edges of the pan allow me to flip food easily without having to reach for a utensil. And despite my occasional abuse (I have 3 kids, once in a great while things get burnt, mkay?), the surface coating isn't flaking off. Four out of 5 stars because they're holding up better than teflon, but they just don't make that 5/5 star rating for nonstick immortality. For anyone who manages to burn things onto your pans, put that metal scraper away. Just boil lemon juice or vinegar in the pan, get a wooden spatula, and gently scrape away the burnt stuff. Works great on stainless steel, too. ... show more

  • So Easy/No chemicals
I do not want to cook my food in Teflon or other chemically treated pans. These work as they are advertised, even though they must be soaked if things burn on. They come clean in the dishwasher too. Highly recommended!

  • Excellent pans!
Easy to clean and cuts down your oil usage dramatically. I used them one time and I will update my post to see how well they last upon usage.

  • Standard or Pro?????!!
I'm not sure if they were actually the Granitestone Pro set. They were a little on the thin side.. They were bought as a gift to my daughter, and family. I've got a full set of GS pro's and I love them. Anyway, it's still a good product.
