I have small tiles and the description states that these will not stick to the smaller tiles because the suction cup lies on top of the grout line. This is true I tested it. But I also have glass in my shower so these are going to work perfectly on the glass. They seemed very stable. Be sure to follow the directions given as they will loosen up and need to be tightened each time they’re used just to be safe. I’m happy with the product.

I purchased these for use during non-weight bearing surgery recovery for the bathroom. They DON"T ADHERE no matter what I do per the instructions - and the instructions for other suction grab bars I already own by another maker. Dangerous product! Lucky I tried before my surgery! I'm returning immediately and recommend to buy a better name brand!

I have no doubt this product would work well for many, but I was a bit afraid once I read the included literature. I would be pulling on it to help me up from my shower stool and that might be a problem. That was my first concern. The other concern was that one of the suction cops had a slight “pull-up”. I felt this imperfection could cause an untimely and unexpected release of the suction which could cause an accident in the shower. I am sure that for many, these bars would be great… but be sure to check the suction cups carefully!

My mom needed some additional stability in the shower so I tried these. The shower is an older seamless fiberglass unit. I put one on either side of the door. They both seemed quite secure initially, but within an hour, one fell off the shower wall. I cleaned the shower wall better, although it felt smooth to the touch before the cleaning. Maybe there was a speck of something or soap film that I didn’t feel that affected the suction. I will try reinstalling on a completely dry surface tomorrow to see if that helps. But, the fact that it felt very secure initially and then fell off while no one was touching it worries me. I think it could give a false sense of security which might be worse in the long run. However, the one that has stayed put does feel very secure. Follow up: After I cleaned the shower and waited overnight for it to dry completely, I tried again. The one end just doesn’t seam to seal. I tried flipping it so that end was up, down, and back and finally thought I had it. But about 2 hours later I heard it fall again. I dropped from 3 to 2 stars because a safety device should not be hit or miss.

I am using this bar in the swimming pool deep end as a safety handle. It holds well but has to be tightened every couple days. Not all swimming pool tiles are perfectly flat so it holds better on some tiles than others. It is easy to install but just flipping a piece on the back of the suction cup. It is serving its purpose so I'm happy with it.
