We are using this for general walking exercise, not as an under-desk treadmill. This is a great walking pad if your "brisk" walking pace is under about 5mph. The motion is smooth, quiet, and it ramps up easily to the speed you want, and slows down at the end at a nice rate. We have 2 people using it — one very tall at over 6ft with a long stride, and one med height with a shorter stride. It works very well for both of us. The remote control has a mute button that lets you turn off the annoying "beep" of increase/decrease speed buttons. We have a tiny room set aside for a mini-gym, so equipment space is limited. So I really like the compact size and light weight of the treadmill because we store it standing up. We move it into place for the walks, and both lowering it to the floor (by hand; no brackets/pistons/whatever) and wheeling it away from the wall are very easy to do. The speed/pace does not match with the pace measured by the iPhone, and I am guessing that it is the treadmill that is incorrect based on other outdoor pace measurements I've taken with the iPhone. It measures a faster pace and therefore greater distance than the iPhone shows. So I recommend that you use a pedometer or iPhone or some other device that measures your distance and speed if you have distance/pace goals you want to meet. Overall, very pleased with this purchase. I debated about dropping a star because of the pace measurement, but the usability, price and convenience really earn all 5 stars. ... show more

I rarely write reviews on things I buy from Amazon, but this was a rare case I needed to share my experience with this treadmill and the company. Last year in October I wanted to buy a treadmill that would fit with my standing desk so I decided to go with a GOYOUTH treadmill based off of a fair price and overall decent reviews. Shipping took a little over a week to arrive, packaging was great, no damage at all to the treadmill. The only thing I didn't like about it was the remote controller felt flimsy and had a weak range. For the past 7-8 months I would walk for about 2 hours a night while playing games at my desk, so it has had a lot of daily use. I kept up with the maintenance of oiling the belt every 25 hours or so with silicone based oil. 3 weeks ago the treadmill would shut down suddenly and I started getting error messages on the screen that meant power failure when looking up the code in the user manual. I went on here right away to see if I could contact the company to see if the treadmill was under warranty and luckily it still had a few months left on the one-year warranty. In a matter of 48 hours and 4 emails back and forth verifying the error messages I was receiving; I was able to choose whether I wanted a full refund or a new treadmill entirely. Since I had zero problems prior to these error messages I decided to give this company another shot and get a new treadmill shipped to me. About a week later the treadmill arrives which I would consider an upgraded model from the original. A much cleaner, durable unit, quieter belt, bigger LCD screen, remote control had more options and a much better connection. It's like the company actually listened to all of the negative reviews on their first version and fixed everything, including their customer service. If you are looking for a portable treadmill for your house or office this is absolutely one I would recommend ten times over. ... show more

After about 3 weeks of using this treadmill I would say that this is one of the smartest purchases that I've made in my life (at least one of the best 2023 purchases). Is it perfect? No - I would like a wider treadmill now, with a more quiet motor if possible - but those will be upgrades when I wear this one out. For now, the GOYOUTH under-desk treadmill fits my needs well and I hope to get more than a year's worth of use out of it. At first I thought that I would want a narrow treadmill. A 16 inch-wide belt seems wide enough and for the most part it's fine. I can type & use the mouse while walking and not worry about stepping off of the belt. But if an item is /just/ out of reach on the desk, I'd like to be able to side step more than 2-3 inches before I step off of the machine. Is this treadmill quiet? Even though I would like a less noisy machine, I must say that yes, this treadmill is quiet enough. I've taken calls while walking on the treadmill and the other people were not able to discern the sound of the machine running. I need to turn my speaker volume up in order to hear my music at a comfortable level while walking, but that's the worst complaint I have for the sound. I do wish this treadmill was a few inches longer. One thing I did not know to check before I purchased is "how much of the treadmill do I need to keep under the desk in order to work while walking?" If I position the treadmill under the desk far enough that I can take my long strides without striking the front of the machine, I risk walking off of the back end. Vice versa if I pull it back. I've had to shorten my stride a small amount to compensate. At the moment, about 1/3 of the treadmill is under the desk. I'd have to stop using the machine to get a better measurement 😁. For the price point I think the GOYOUTH treadmill is a solid purchase. It's easy to use, easy to store, quiet enough for daily office use and (hopefully) will last a good long while. ... show more

Really impressed with this seller. After months of daily use as an under-desk walking treadmill, it started randomly shutting down, and I was worried it was going to be a huge headache to troubleshoot. But the customer service team was super responsive and helpful. Once I confirmed the issue, they sent out a replacement and gave me tracking info immediately. Overall, the whole experience was painless, and now I have a working treadmill again that’s been exactly what I need for my desk setup.
