I bought this because I wanted to turn on/off my AC remotely. It works perfectly for my use case. I set it up and then added it to Google Home. Now I can say "Okay Google, turn on Air Conditioner" and it turns right on or off.. This is great for when it's hot outside and I want the room to be nice and cool before I get inside. I'll eventually upgrade to a smart AC, but this is great in the meantime!

I couldn’t seem to get it to work though. To be fair, the listing didn’t state that it was compatible with Apple’s Home app. But I was (maybe incorrectly) under the understanding that ‘Matter-branded’ devices were supposed to work for all platforms. Hence, the ‘Matter’ designation. That aside, however, it’s still a good smart plug. And I can still take advantage of its features through the Govee app. I ended up just using the timer function for my Apple Magic Keyboard. Rather than having the keyboard power my iPad Pro all day, I now have it on a schedule (On at 8p then, Off at midnight after it’s fully charged). Hopefully this helps with extending the life of the iPad’s battery. Schedules aside, when toggling the power button through the app, the plug reacts quickly. Haven’t tried the Timer Mode yet but, I don’t force any issues with that. Design-wise, it’s fine. If anything, it’s a little big. There’s a good chance it’ll block part of the other plug slot on your outlet. This may be better suited to being in a power strip. Should I have any success with HomeKit and this plug in the future (via an update or anything), I’ll definitely update this. Overall though, pretty happy.

I used this in my greenhouse to control my super cheap humidifier. I used the Govee temp/ humidity sensors and made a program to turn on the humidifier as needed. Worked perfect.

I have a few electronic devices that I wanted to have smart control of. This little plug does the job well! The Govee app has many options available for schedules and timing. Setup was simple, and this plug does exactly what I need it to do!

Sorry, the product may be much better than I was able to utilize it. It was just too complicated for me to understand how I could install 6 or more of them and still control the timing on each one. Others may find them very useful.

This is a smart plug that is easy to use and easy to configure. There is nothing complicated, hardest part is signing up for the Govee account. Once you are logged into the app, this is an IOT device and you can follow the step by step instructions to get it connected. It allows you to remotely turn on and off and gives a timer function. You can make any device that can be kept on all the time smart by giving it timer & remote on/off function. The device is rated for up to 1200w but I didn't have anything that is that high to test that claim. Two cons: 1st- the plug is a little big, so if you are using it in a power strip, it might overlap another outlet which happened to me. 2nd - It is suppose to be Matter compatible and connects to Apple Home / Google Home, but I couldn't get it to connect, but it might be my setup and I haven't configured something either on my router or Home settings. Both points are minor as it works well with the Govee app.
