I have installed various android head units over the years and some were much better than others, surprising since one would assume that the technology would only improve over time. I purchased this particular unit based on car play which is integrated vs other units that I purchased last year that advertise car play compatibility but use a crappy 3rd party software that is terrible. This unit is excellent!!! the screen is huge, very crisp visually, super responsive to touch control. The car play connection is almost immediate with no lag and it works flawlessly. The sound is great and is very adjustable with number of sound engines that can be selected and modified (BBE etc). The install was predictable and everything worked exactly the way I wanted.

Update: I'll be updating the review but I received a replacement for the original one where I was experiencing ghost touches. There are still some touch screen issues, but no more ghost touches, so I'll upgrade the review from 2 stars to 4 stars. The criteria I had for an Android head unit was: * Floating 10" screen * Tilt left or right (as an example, Atoto tilts up and down, shifts up and down, but does not tilt left or right) * Wireless Android Auto This was the only one which met my criteria. I also like the knob as a physical control as it is very easy to find and adjust the volume, muting (single press) or turning on/off (long press) without having to take your focus off the road. Unfortunately, having it on the first day, I am experiencing ghost touches. I turned on through developer options to display touches on the screen, and even without touching the screen, it sometimes registers touches (across the top of the screen). This is very disappointing and can be potentially frustrating. Will likely need to return this and look for a head unit which can meet this criteria, decide to wait on a head unit until I can find another, or decide on a head unit which does not meet all the criteria. Pros: - Floating 10" screen where tilt can be adjusted after installation (some are only adjustable during installation process), can tilt in all directions - Wireless Android Auto (and Apple Car Play) - Audio sounds pretty good - Android device, can run as standalone Android device without the phone, can change launcher/home screen - Head unit comes with GPS and rear-view camera - Multi-function knob as physical control improves usability, looks good, reduces clutter Cons - Ghost touches (may be deal breaker) - Wish I could adjust screen resolution for the device to make fonts larger. Some apps can do this independently, but Google Maps is not one of the apps - Wish I could change "widgets" on default launcher, but since I can use any launcher, not really an issue - No SIM card or micro SD card slot. However, it comes with two USB ports, one of which can be used for extra storage. And anyway, I would wonder how well an SD card would last being in a hot car in Texas summers. All in all, I would be very happy with this unit if not for the ghost touches.

This thing is terrible if you want to install it cleanly into an existing double din spot. The screen does not come off like the instructions say it does. It does not come with brackets that would mount it into an existing location, it comes with L brackets for you to screw it into your dash. The wiring is so cheap and tiny that the connections can barely be made. Be prepared to fully fabricate the mounting locations, oh and the screw holes on the sides to mount the brackets are not even threaded. They provided self tapping screws though so you can just self tap this thing into your dashboard and the head unit itself and it’ll look like crap and hope the screws don’t hurt something important.
