It took three of us to put this up...only because I'm picky. I took the advice of another review, and gathered the individual strands with twist ties, to make hanging it very easy. It comes out of the box kind of jumbled, don't be dissuaded, the extra prep time is worth it!! It is very long, it fit the front of my garage turned sewing room perfect!!! My son hung it, then my daughter and he spread the lights, and attached the bottoms to the building with cup hooks.. there's a little loop on the bottom of each strand...I supervised and advised where placement would be. This took about a half hour. Probably because there was so many of us assembling it. If just me it would have taken much longer to make it look decent. I have gotten many compliments on it. My neighbors commented on this one… usable for any holiday or party… Flag pole ready… the light strands are transparent so I marked the ground perimeter with non adhesive tape so no one would trip over them.. I used zip ties to secure the top at the proper height.. with a safe ladder and a little help…easy up and easy down … you need two people to calculate the height in response to the distance from the pole you want the strands of light… ... show more

( Read all the way to the End), I purchased this product and it failed to operate properly; It was replace immediately without question. I installed the replacement and it failed as well. Then I discovered that neither product had actually failed, but my outlet was the problem. I corrected the problem and both products operate as advertised. Therefore I am keeping both products and not making a return. I apologize for the inconvenience of having to send me a replacement, having said this, I decided to keep both and not make a return. I used this set to make my own Christmas lights tree using a tree pole and ring. I mounted the plastic tree to the top. Nine strands looped to the ring 3 times each and the tenth strand wrapped around the pole. Lights are very bright and different settings are very nice.
