Its raised edges are a standout feature, effectively containing spills and preventing food and water from spreading onto the floor. You can roll it up after use, but I leave it on the floor where she feeds. The non-slip texture on the bottom of the mat ensures that it stays in place. This stability is a great feature as it prevents the mat from sliding around, giving my dog a steady surface to eat on. Unlike several of the one star reviews, my dogs feeding bowl stays firmly in place. True to its claim, this mat is 100% waterproof. Its non-porous surface doesn’t absorb any liquids. Cleaning the mat is a breeze – a quick rinse under the tap or a wipe with a damp cloth, and it’s as good as new. The mat is generously sized, providing ample space for both food and water bowls. The raised edges actually keep the water and kibble contained, and it’s super easy to wipe clean. Definitely check the sizing before you order—these come in different dimensions, and I almost bought one that would’ve been too small. I bought this raised-edge silicone mat mainly for resin work, but it’s just as useful under pet bowls. I really like this mat. It is made very well with a good grip and a nice effective rim. I should note that I don’t have a pet and use this as a utility mat in my workshop for any task that involves wet work whether it’s water or oil. It performs well and is a great value.

Really nice mat for our animals. It is a good quality rubber, unrolled without any bumps or issues, lays nice and flat. Good stickiness so bowls don't slide around; color is neutral so not glaring at me from the floor. Perfect in the kitchen. I thought the lip would be higher, but lower is fine. Very pleased with it and so are the animals.
