I purchased this for my sister to transport her mobility scooter. It’s lightweight so that she can lift or let down the ramp by herself. The media could not be loaded. Between all of the kids activities and the dog events we just needed a little extra storage in the car, and this works perfectly just getting around town to carry baggage or miscellaneous items, and it's pretty simple to just add right on to your trailer hitch with no problem. As for weight, just on normal streets, we noticed no bumping or lagging in the truck. And so far, hasn't added any extra gas usage.

this is a good product but my scooter is so low that it bottoms out while going up the ramp. Not sure if there is a fix for this. Does the same thing on the thresholds as well.

Where should I start...wasnt that hard to put together and is well built, though the instructions were quite lacking on putting it together. Both the amazon and company websites list this as can be used with either a Class II or III trailer hitch. On the actual ramp itself, there is a label that states only to be used with either Class III or IV trailer hitches. The company # is only a distributor, and had no answer for the discrepancy when i called and referred me to a tech support email . It will work with a Class II hitch by the way according to a hitch company I talked and showed it to. The ramp I ordered was a folding ramp and sticks out abit further out than it should by about 3-4" due to the folding attachment. The hitch company said they wouldnt put more more than 250lbs, though the site says up to 500. Im sure that is without the folding attachment on it. Works fine so far with the weight I have on it(about 150lb), though still abit weary for longer trips. also wish the ramp struts were a little more well designed. should have been on a runner/slider for easier use.
