Used to keep splatter from broiling fatty meats and baking bacon from ruining inside of oven. Heavy duty. Hasn't torn after numerous scrubbings. Warning: These are thicker stainless steel, not the thinner metal kind I've used and torn up in the past, which means when used in oven, they GET AND STAY DANGEROUSLY HOT much, much longer! Got a couple of nasty burns from touching them slightly with a naked arm or side of hand by mistake. In all the years of using the cheaper versions, that has never happened. Handle with extreme care and set aside out of casual reach until cooled down. Definitely a more premium set. Price has doubled since my purchase almost 9 months ago, though. ... show more

Seems like there are several different items under this one listing, so this is a review only for the 11 & 13 inch screens. Easy 5 stars, because of all the things I’ve ordered for my kitchen over the last couple of years this has been the one thing that I didn’t know I really needed, and now I have it I wonder why I went without for so long. I fry a lot of stuff on the stove, mostly chicken, sausages and hamburgers, and they spatter so much that I seem to spend half my time wiping down and degreasing my countertops. It’s a real pain, and until I saw this it never occurred to me that there was such an easy and time saving solution. I just fried up some burgers using the 11 inch screen, and there isn’t a single drop of oil anywhere on the stove or surrounding countertops. There’s not much more that needs to be said. These things just work. They feel solid and well made, and they’re easy enough to clean with a little soak (or you can just just reuse them without washing and leave the screens a little sticky if you have somewhere out of the way to store them). No complaints at all. These things are going to save me a hell of a lot of effort. ... show more

I've been looking for something like the Goodful Splatter Screen 2 Piece Set, Stainless Steel Grease Guard Shield for a while and am really happy with this set! Pros: -Two sizes so you can cover larger or smaller pans and not have the screen slide around if it's too big for the pot -The little feet on the back mean they seat well on top of your pan and don't slide off if you accidentally bump them on a busy stovetop -Little feet also allow them to be used as cooling racks -Effectively keep grease from splattering all over the kitchen, making cleanup a breeze and protecting you from accidental grease burns -Doesn't interfere with liquids evaporating, like reducing a sauce -Dishwasher safe for easy cleaning -Lifetime limited warranty(hang onto the tags on the handles!) Cons: -I don't have any! Highly recommend these and they'd be a great gift for anyone who cooks. They're the type of thing people put off buying and then wonder how they ever got along without. Goodful Splatter Screen 2 Piece Set, Stainless Steel Grease Guard Shield We have had a couple of splatter screens for a good long time, but they just never were good ones. They were almost like mosquito nettings being so thin and started to warp and tear after a while. I saw these and thought we’d try them as they look like nice. I was surprised when the box was arrived because it wasn’t as heavy as I thought they’d be, but when I took them out, they were great! They do have a little heft to them, and they netting is nice and firm: no warping and tearing here (at least I hope so). They have worked amazingly well so far at catching grease, and they clean well in the dishwasher. Not only that, the price is pretty good, too. Highly recommend. ... show more

    • THE LITTLE LIP MAKES IT SO SO USEFUL!
The biggest point I need to make is that the little ridge that keeps it securely in place on your pot is something I DID NOT know I was missing in my kitchen. It keeps it securely in place and also makes it super easy to tip and drain a pot if you need to. It's such a clever little feature that has never been on a splatter cover I've owned. My second favorite part of this cover is how long the handles are. If I'm cooking something that splatters, be it oil or sauce, the farther from it I can be, the better! Again, yet another feature that I feel like out to be come standard, if anyone is friends with the powers-that-be, ha ha ha. The price for this set is on par with every other version I've owned, yet this wins, hands down. I don't know what else to say about it - it covers the splats, doesn't slide around, and lets me step back. A definite recommendation from me! ... show more
