I bought this magneto board as a cheap starter board to see if my kid would enjoy skateboarding. This magneto kids board is not really a usable skateboard. I would not recomend it even as a starter board as they will quickly be disappointed with how badly it rolls. Deck: pretty heavy as it is 9 ply construction. Typically skateboards are made from 7 ply maple, even pro adult decks. Not sure why they used 9 ply as it makes the board thicker and heavier. Trucks: The pivot is already loose as the rubber bushing for the pivot is such low quality. This makes the truck wiggle from left to right. The axle diameter seems out of spec to fit a regular bearing. It’s to skinny making the bearing very loose. Bearings: The bearings in the wheels are very bad and barely spin. I added some extra lube which helped make them spin a bit better but it only improved it slightly. Wheels: The wheels are a good size and durometer for starting, but they seem not really round. Furthermore the holes where the bearings sit are oversized and the wheel sits loosely on the bearings. If you want to buy your kid a real skateboard, this is not it. But for the price one can probably not really expect more. However, it’s not worth it as it’s such low quality and not really let your kid learn how to skateboard. ... show more

I ordered a skateboard for each of my kids. When they arrived, since we are new to skateboarding, I had some questions about their performance. Magneto Support answered quickly, so my kids could start using the boards. These boards are really good for beginners. They are not too fast, so they did not zoom out from under my kids. I expected a lot of falls so I made the kids wear full protection, but they only fell twice each. That gave us confidence and they try a little something different each week. Its been 2 months since we got the boards and they have held up well to being ridden on the street. I like them and will go back to Magneto for our next level boards! ... show more

Super cute design and seems to be the perfect size for my beginner. I do not like that it doesn’t go straights. I’m having to Google suggestions on how to fix that seeing how nothing comes with it. A nice little intro manual would be great seeing how it is for beginners and obviously would need a little guidance to start. ... show more

The size is perfect for a 9 year old and it looks like a regular skateboard but just shrunk. Nothing was warped and the bearding are okay once you ride it, spun by hand they are slow but that’s okay. Would recommend as a first board for a child. Gg
