It wasn't cheap, or 'easy' to install, but nothing good is, right? It took some creativity to build the proper support for this unit, but the results are fantastic! very well made, all the materials are first-class. It's heavy! took three of us to walk the 220# glass into place and secure it but voila! it worked. This is the 60" version, plenty big enough to feel right for my small-ish gym/barn. After owning several cheaper basketball goals that fell apart in as little as a year, we bought this one as a long-term installation. It is heavy and the quality is excellent. Buyer should be aware that the first step in installation is to attach the rear bracket to your house, and there is no hardware provided for that purpose. I spent most of the installation time making trips to the hardware store and drilling into the brick of our home. It has 10 hole provided for attaching it to your home. Once I had the bracket solidly attached, putting the rest of the goal together was a snap, took about an hour. The instructions are easy to follow and the hardware is provided and fits perfectly. It took three adults to assemble because the goal weighs over 200 lbs, but it is, by far, the nicest basketball goal we've ever owned and my hope is that is will last for years. ... show more

WOW!!! Unbelievably nice quality! This is the GS72” glass backboard and it is truly FIRST CLASS! My husband installed it in about 1 hour. He recently had a pole building constructed which is both heated and a/c equipped so we decided this would be an awesome addition. I played basketball competitively my entire childhood so to me it is the best gift my mother could have ever given us! ❤️🏀 It is equivalent to what you would find in a high school/college gym! We love this hoop - it's like the professional hoop you would find at the university basketball courts. For us, we feel like we are in our local recreation center, we added this to a sport court flooring and all the kids think our court/hoop is "sweet". It was delivered with kid gloves - unscathed - but rather heavy to hang (you will need a friend to help). Other than that - this is a winner, definitely Porsche version of basketball hoops - you wont be disappointed! ... show more

This is a great basketball goal. When it arrived, it was much heavier than I expected, but I was able to install it (on a brick wall) mostly by myself. Not the actual backboard of course, but everything else mounts just like you would install a Flat TV wall mount. Then get a few friends, especially one with a pickup truck, and mount the backboard just as you would a huge TV. Took us about 15 minutes from parking to mounting the hoop (took me hours to get the first part though, but would've been quicker if I hadn't tried doing it by myself). ... show more

Tried to wait on writing this review with the hope this could be resolved by EscaladeSports. Poor customer service and no resolution to damaged parts. Also, description listed weight, but majority of weight is in the backboard itself. Do not attempt to install this at your home, there are much better options. Now I'm going through the Amazon guarantee process and, if necessary, contacting my credit card company for a charge back. I have plenty of examples of my attempt to resolve this problem with EscalageSports and how they just went silent...very frustrating. ... show more

This is a prime example of how you get what you pay for. The basketball hoop/backboard is made with outstanding quality and it is a solid as they come! You will need a couple people to mount it but that just goes back to the quality of the product. We mounted our hoop in the shop so our daughter can play year round rain or shine, and the thing should last forever. ... show more
