Description

The Goalrilla FT Series comes in 54"-, 60"-, and 72" tempered glass backboards for the best rebound performance and competitive play, and is an excellent option for all levels of play. The Clear View backboard with wide board arms offer an unobstructed view through the backboard and consistent rebound. The black anodized backboard framing looks like a professional arena-style hoop. The goal adjusts from 7.5' to 10' to fit the requirements of every player. This in-ground basketball hoop features an innovative steel pole design that is stronger than ever and built to withstand the toughest play. Three-Point Technology is a three-part system that combines the stability of a 1-piece pole, dual extension arms, and Triple-Joint connection. The hoop is supported by the solid foundation of a 1-piece main pole mounted to an in-ground, concrete-cured anchor. Extended from the main pole are dual extension arms that allow for internal mounting of the board arms for more stability. These dual extension arms are mounted using Triple-Joint Connection which creates surface area contact for better rigidity and stability during play. We are really enjoying our new Goalrilla! First, the installation went pretty smoothly. In advance of receiving the delivery, I watched some install videos on Youtube. I highly suggest doing that so you have a sense of what is involved. Thankfully, my 15 year old son took on the task of digging the 48" deep hole for the goal's foundation. It took right at 11 bags of 80# concrete to fill it. Having the 4 rebar included in the kit was nice - saved me another trip to the hardware store. As long as you are careful placing the anchor bolts and base plate into the wet concrete, that part of the install was very straight forward. We did our best to keep things level, and that helped a lot later when setting the pole. We also wrapped the top of the anchor bolts with blue painter's tape to protect them when we installed the pole. Putting the various arms and accessories on the pole was easy, but a few words of advice. One, make sure the saw horses you work on are sturdy and padded. The pole gets pretty heavy so it is important to have a solid work surface. Second, as things are attached to the pole, the center of gravity for the pole changes. Make sure you are careful because at times the pole wants to roll over. Third, many of the connections require plastic washers between metal surfaces. This can be a bit tricky to do, so having a couple other people to assist in this part of the work was very helpful. The goal is of good quality construction, but that also means it is heavy! Take heed to the warnings in the installation manual about having multiple adults on hand for setting the pole and installing the backboard. It went smoothly for me because I had plenty of help. However, if I was shorthanded, it might have been a different story. We also needed three step ladders for attaching the backboard. I highly suggest that as well for the initial lift of the board. After the heavy work was done, the rest was easy. Like I mentioned earlier, we kept the base plate pretty level so we didn't have a lot of adjustment to the pole after we installed it. We got the 60" and it is AMAZING! Our family is in awe and is having a blast with it. My 7 year is obsessed! Historically, we have a hard time getting him to do anything on his own. Now, he is outside constantly playing ... before school, after school ... after dinner ... he loves it so much. He loves that he can position it lower or higher and he has no problem doing it on his own. Our family has zero complaints about this hoop ... all positive. My husband wants me to add that he loves how sturdy it is ... he said "it feels like you are playing at a division 1 college arena and not in somebody's driveway". It is high quality. Also, we did the installation through Amazon and it was super easy to schedule ... we had to reschedule a few times and it was no problem to do so online. John, who did the installation, was lovely and did a great job. I should mention that our landscaper wanted to do the installation for us but he couldn't beat Amazon's price to install. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend getting this Goalrilla basketball hoop - you will not be disappointed! ... show more

This is a great product. I have not had this for very long yet, but am very happy with the purchase. It is pretty rock solid and looks great. Adjusting the height is not a big deal, but can be a pain if you need to do it frequently. This is a lot of fun for the entire family and I can see us using this for many years. It is worth the money to have someone else install it unless you have prior experience and some extra help. It is definitely a 2-3 person job and not something you want to mess up. ... show more

We bought the 60” hoop not only for our kids, (5 and 7) but also for us, the parents, for something to do outside. It has been perfect. The ability to raise and lower the rim keeps the whole family entertained and interested. After we found a couple friends who had installed hoops before to help with installation it was smooth sailing for us. I love the in ground anchor system - it is secure and gives us the ability to easily move hoop to another house if we need to. The hoop looks good in the driveway and is sleek enough not to draw any unnecessary attention to it. Our kids love it—it’s a win for us! ... show more

This is very well made, sturdy and my grandchildren LOVE it! It definitely takes 4 strong people to install it. Directions are good, large print and fairly easy to follow. Backboard and pole is extremely heavy. Enjoy!

Great hoop setup. I bought two and built full court. The kids love how easy it is to adjust the height. Get the backboard pad. It finishes the look. Also recommend the goalrilla lights. They are great for 1/2 court. Again, I bought two. It’s heavy. It took 4 of us to lift the backboard in to place.
