The media could not be loaded. The Rocksocki Tabletop Drum Pads Kit is a good choice for you and/or your kids because the pads have a solid feel and good stick bounce. The size of unit is just right, it does not take up much space. The Rocksocki comes with an owners manual, pair of drum sticks and two foot pedals for Kick and Hi-Hat. The sensitivity of the pads and pedals is good and the Menu, Tempo, Click, Record and Demo Song options offer a good set of features needed to practice drumming with. The drum kit sounds are decent with a choice of 15 kits to choose from. You also get 50 Demo songs to practice with but you can not change the tempo of the songs. You can also record your drum playing with the built in record feature but you can not save it and if you press the Record button again the previous song is erased and the new recording replaces it (see video). The Rocksocki Drum Pads come with a USB-C cable for connecting to the power input port on the “Right” side of the front panel, but does not have a 5-Volt power supply to go with it. So you will need to use a 5-Volt USB adapter to power the drum pads. Also be aware that the supplied USB-C cable will not work as a USB-C Data cable to connect to your computer. You will need to use a USB-C data cable to plug into the “Left” side USB-C port on the front of the drum pad unit (I show you in the video). The Rocksocki works as a basic MIDI drum controller as well but it needs a few “Firmware” changes to make it work better. I was looking for a good quality entry level electronic drum set as a gift for a 9 year old. Electronic drum kits are take up too much space, and are too expensive, in my opinion, for someone just getting exposed to musical instruments. This electronic drum set by ROCKSOCKI is compact, about the size of a vinyl record player. Basic usage is pretty straight forward. The additional features are a bit more difficult to figure out, as the manual is very sparse. There are click-tracks and demo beats to practice to as well. One thing I did notice that once turned on, the drum pads are not immediately reactive. You have to hit them a couple of times initially to get it to respond with the respective sound. Once powered up and ready to go, however, it worked fine. Overall, this was a decent gift for a child just getting familiar with playing music, but serves more as a toy than an instrument.

We bought this for my 6 year old son for Christmas. He has percussion at his school and we wanted him to be able to have fun and practice at home. The quality surpassed my expectations! My husband and I have a lot of fun playing it too. We live in a small studio so this was perfect and he can even take it into the cart on trips with his headphones in. This is a great purchase and would definitely recommend.
