Awesome little tank at a great price! I got this tank for an assassin snail to help with my bladder snail invasion I have had in another tank and it’s perfect and looks so nice set up. The light is very bright, love the black backing, filter seems great and the skimmer worked great and there was even a cleaning brush included. I am not using the skimmer as it sucked some snails in but that’s no fault of the product. I put bioactive sand as the substrate that’s not supposed to be rinsed and the filter and skimmer had the water clear very quickly. Would not use for fish as it is too small but aside from that it is a perfect tank for these snails. Also very well packaged from the manufacturer.

I LOVE this aquarium! The fact that it’s a timeless aquarium that comes with a lid is just perfection. So many rimless aquariums come without lids for whatever reason. Light is nice and bright! Filter is noticeable but it’s not too loud that it’s annoying. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s marketed as a betta tank :( sadly this tank is actually several gallons under the minimum so I think marketing it as a betta tank is irresponsible and as I can see in other reviews has led many people into unknowingly giving their fishy’s an improperly sized home. HOWEVER this would make a great shrimp tank! Which is exactly what I’m going to be using it for. Just be sure not to use the surface skimmer if you plan on using this for shrimp because it will likely suck them in. The instructions were easy to follow and overall it’s a solid purchase.

Esthetically this is a beautiful tank. But functionality wise its garbage. The filters are crappy. The pump is cheap and the first one i had broke after 3 weeks. You can not just replace the filter and the strong- unadjustable light creates way too much algae overgrowth, you have to buy an entire filter pump new. No matter how much you clean it, etc its not enough. We even got ghost shrimp and they still cant keep up. After 6 months of trying to make it work, I gave up and went with a different brand. The stress the fish go through is not worth it. You cant ever get the pH right. Also, it chipped super easily, thankfully on a corner and it didnt break the seal. But still it didnt even hit against anything. Also worth noting no i didnt have the light on all the time, maybe only a few hrs in the evening and no water heater(not needed in my home)

This is a great tank!! We tried another tank off Amazon & were very disappointed, but this one has exceeded expectations!! We have 2 Blue Velvet (1 male, 1 female) shrimp and a black Nerite snail. The female shrimp has eggs that she has been carrying so we hope to have some babies soon. This is definitely the best bang for your buck on Amazon for a small tank. It's quite & the light is really bright (we only keep it on for 12hrs or so daily). One thing is some other reviews talked about the lid and it falling in, so we used some small pieces of clear packing tape to hold it on to prevent oir cats or us knocking it in. Also, you don't have to use the surface skimmer/rotator thing, the filter comes with an extension so you can skip it & that's what we did to prevent any of our shrimp from getting into the small hole at the top of it. UPDATE: Mama shrimp laid her eggs and we have shrimp babies!! So the shrimp definitely love the tank!! We also added live salvinia for the surface and a live anubias nana petite.

3.6.25 Perfect! Took me a minute to get the pump working. I do wish there was a video tutorial of the steps. I kinda had a hard time navigating and understanding (maybe an operator error 😅). BUT I got it running! I will be buying a bigger tank soon for more fish (not with my beta obviously). The LED is SUPPPPER bright too. Pump is quiet. The color is what we wanted for our house. Great for starters! UPDATE 10.4.25 It started leaking from the seams, lasted about 4 months, until I had to completely stop using it. I also resealed it but it still did not help it at all. Really disappointed that I can’t use it anymore.

I received the replacement filter within a couple of days and it exceeds anything I expected. It is quiet and my fish are so much happier and active. I really appreciate the customer service provided and will definitely buy from this seller again. I want to update my previous review shown below. I was immediately contacted by the Seller responding to my review. I was very surprised by the amount of concern they showed, very sincere that a customer needed to be taken care of. After texting with them, it was decided and agreed that they will send me another filter to replace the damaged one. They offered a full refund which I did not feel was warranted since there was information in the description suggesting that we should make sure there was water in the filter to prevent damage. My power went out to circumstances beyond anyone’s control. Very cute tank. I should have listened to people about the water filter system. We had a power outage during the nighttime hours when I was asleep. When the power came back on the filter didn’t prime itself so it burnt out. Very disappointed. This is not a system to use unless you constantly keep an eye on it.

Such a great tank for my desk! The filter it comes with is nice and quiet too. I swapped out the light for one that had a timer.
