I like the height adjustability of this but how well this works for you really depends on the light you’re putting on it and overall set up. It is slightly flimsy and takes up a decent chunk of real estate around the edges of my 20g long aquarium. Definitely recommend measuring the light you’ll be putting on it and the type of brackets (it may or may not have) first. I like the fact that it can be used for both rimmed and rimless tanks. I do wish the base of these were slightly lower or had the ability to have my light just a little lower, but it does what it says it does so can’t complain too much. ... show more

I like that the clear plastic it isn't distracting from the over-all look of the tank. I want the plants growing out of the top to be the focal point, not the light holder. I love the idea of these and even ordered a second pair. Problem is, they crack over time, especially if you make it too tight. The plastic should be either thicker, made better or something to prevent that. I glued a set back together and they still work, so, still good?
