The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: The company sent me an entire new reel and hose within a week of my report. The unit looks great, installs “easily”, and the retractor is amazing at even 130 ft dispensed hose. Unfortunately, the interior parts are lacking and mine lasted under a year. In fact, it was used just 4 months last year and then removed from its installation and stored inside for the winter. I took it out today and it’s leaking all over and almost nothing gets to the nozzle. Totally non-functional. The unit is sealed rather well so I’m not comfortable taking it apart to try and patch when it clearly has a material quality failure. This was $200 and for that it should not dry-rot over a single winter. It’s absurd! I’m hoping support will step up and do the right thing, but I’ve seen some reviews that imply that might not happen. I will update the review in 30 days.

We tried one of these out last year in our front yard because lugging a heavy hose across the driveway to even get to the plants was a struggle. Just pulling on this makes it so much easier than dragging and carrying a regular hose! I admit, my husband installed it, but he said it was easy to do. Since buying this one, we've bought two more for the back yard! They're so easy to use. No tripping over hose lines, easy to maneuver around the yard, easy to gently pull on to release it so it goes back in to its station, and if you want it to be slack, it'll do that, too. My one "complaint" would be that the hand-held nozzle gun isn't the best quality. I've bought different ones to put on it. It's okay, and will serve you pretty well for a time, but your best bet is to replace with it a different brand that's a sturdier quality. Other than that, I can't speak highly enough of this hose. After a year, the first one still works like new, it isn't an eye sore like some can be, and it's really easy to use. FYI, you do have to pull with a decent amount of strength, but you won't have to strain by any means. If you can pull a regular hose, you can definitely pull this. The beauty is the retractability which makes putting it away a total breeze.

The device arrived quickly and I quickly unboxed it when I arrived home. Everything was wrapped up and looked fine until I unwrapped it. The main case was scratched up and was obviously not new. I am guessing they sent me a returned item. That's unfortunate and made me a bit mad. I've read the reviews that mention following the instructions and using a 1/2-inch drill which is not something you really want to do in the real world. So, I ignored those reviews and used the 1/2 drill bit as the instructions stated. Nope...the reviews were correct and the 1/2 inch is way too big for the hardware to accurately fit. So, I fixed my siding, reinforced the wall, and simply screwed the bolts in without drilling and, once I figured that out, I had it installed in 5 mins. The actual device is fantastic so far. I will say that prior to the purchase, I measured the distance I needed and 130 ft was perfect for my needs. However, once it arrived, I found that the 5 ft of lead hose is included in that 130 ft. So, this is really 125 ft of retractable hose and not the advertised 130 ft. Just a head up in case you too did not notice the fine print. Lastly, even with the product being used and not new like I ordered and losing the 5 ft of hose, I still find this device to be sturdy, well made, and satisfies my needs to reach my raised garden that is 115 ft away from the water source.

Tired of coiling hoses? I am! Problem solved... I should have bought this years ago. Installation can be a serious decision because for us, it meant drilling 4 large holes in the side of our house. When deciding where to put this, keep in mind that you will be pulling on it relatively hard and it will need to be located in a sturdy spot. The good: Aesthetically, this is much more pleasing than a hose coiled up on the side of the house in any form. It makes for effortless use of hose, in and out. Level wind feature makes for no drama pulling out or retracting. Keeps the hose protected from UV rays, extending its life and keeping it looking new. It swivels around to follow you as needed. This means you're always pulling straight on the unit. The bad: This is a 1/2" hose. So, its smaller than a standard garden hose. This will reduce water flow. If you're looking to get the most volume, I suggest looking for a 5/8" option. Practical for watering plants and gardens, not so much for large lawns or washing cars. The nozzle it comes with is pretty crappy. Doesn't lay perfectly flat when on its side, no one will notice but you... Overall, I recommend this product to anyone looking for a permanent hose solution.

Very functional and neat for tasks like watering plants, etc. Nothing heavy duty like car washing, since the hose it 1/2" - the 5/8" hose have much more volume than I expected. I'm very happy with this as I got it to water plants on a very steep slope in my backyard and maneuvering this and retraction is a dream! I can water in half the time I used to spend fighting with my hose around rock pulling back and forth. I love it.

All in all this is a neat product. The hose self retracts keeping things clean and clutter free. A few criticisms: the hose nozzle that comes with is mediocre. The mounting bracket is plastic. I would have rather seen a metal bracket but so far it’s holding up really well over time. It’s worth the buy.
