The media could not be loaded. After years and years of trying many different hose reels and hose holders, I think we have finally found a good one. This hose reel is extremely heavy duty and holds a 100 foot hose, which we need to be able to reach our entire backyard and side yard. The only negative comment I have so far is the sprayer is 100% plastic and I’m not sure it’s going to last. But we shall see. We spent a lot more money on this hose and reel combination and any other we’ve bought in the past, but so far it looks like it’s worth it . For this price I think a good sprayer should either be included or not sent at all. Is it me cheap in the product if it does break in the first season like I’m guessing it might, but hopefully and maybe I’ll be wrong overall I recommend this product. I try to do as many reviews as possible For both good and bad products and this one I even took the time to take pictures and a video to share because those of you that spent a lot of time in your yard and need a good hose and reel. So far this is the best we’ve found yet it comes with a 5 foot hose to connect to the Spicket, so you could put your real up to 5 feet away from the Spicket And we have done that in this case because it’s a little bit large and I don’t want it in the way of people walking by on our pool deck. This is a nice garden hose reel. It seems to be of good quality. I mounted it inside my garage to be able to extend it out to the end of my driveway and yard. I mounted it to the wall and was able to get 2 of the screws provided mounted into a stud and the other 2 mounted into the drywall. The only issue I had was using the supplied drywall anchors. They did not work. They did not expand into the drywall. I had to go buy 2 toggle bolts to support the weight of the reel. If I would not have been able to get 2 of the bolts into a stud, I do not believe even with toggle bolts it would stay mounted to the wall. The only other issue is with a 1/2 inch hose you get very low water pressure. That is a major downfall. I like the product but I think they should provide toggle bolts and also use the larger hose.

Purchased one of these for my back yard at the beginning of last summer. Used it for the season and was so happy with it I purchased a second for my front yard. Plenty of length to get to the opposing corners of my property. Mounting was easy.. I have one mounted to a wooden fence using the provided lag screws. The second is mounted to a pvc fence post which required a shorter screw. Easy to pull out and retracts rapidly and easily. I prefer to not just let it rewind at full speed so keep a hand loosely around the hose while it is winding in. I find it is easier to control the speed of the rewind if my hands are little wet. The adjustable nozzle works great. I chose to install it to the hose using a shutoff valve and quick disconnect so I can easily swap hose ends.

I purchased three of these retractable hoses in March 2022. They were somewhat difficult to install- a two person job - especially if installing into concrete wall or brick. I used each one maybe once a week around my gardens. The first hose broke in August 2022. A second broke by exploding in my face in September. The third hose (the one that was used the least due to location in gardens needing less water) still works, but I don’t have faith it will last. I contacted Giraffe tools to honor their 2 year replacement warranty. I had to “chat” back & forth for a hour because their rep claimed they had no record with of my purchase. I sent copies of invoice, screenshots, etc. I was told they’d send replacements. Later that day, someone contacted me via email and I went back & forth with them on the same issue I thought I resolved earlier in the day. They claimed no proof of purchase from Amazon even though I had receipts & obviously bought them from Amazon or I wouldn’t be leaving an Amazon review. They said “contact Amazon.” So, today I spent about 45 minutes chatting with Amazon, forwarding the chat transcripts & multiple emails to Amazon customer service who agreed that Giraffe tools should’ve honored their warranty. But, since they didn’t, Amazon will offer refund less restocking fee. That was the only solution. Now, subtracting for a restock fee seems odd because these are broken; they cannot be restocked! However, since it’s the only way to recoup some of the loss, then that’s what I must take. My advice is to not order this retractable hose or any products from Giraffe tools because apparently they are of subpar quality and the company will not honor their stated warranty. Save yourself time and trouble and find a retractable hose elsewhere. And, make sure you pay via a credit card that has a product warranty benefit, just in case.

I really like this hose real. I have been researching different hose reels for a long time and to get a good one I was going to have to pay a lot like $500 plus which are very heavy and need to be mounted to something very strong. This hose reel is easy to install on any wall or pile and I like how it very easily stops where u want after extending it, it’s lightweight but nothing imunmanageable. I hope it holds up for along time because I try my best to take good care of my things and only buy things that will last me along time. I doubt the plastic sprayer holds up for too long it seems very cheaply made so I replaced it anyways with a brass one that I’ve had forever. If this hose reel lasts me along time without problems I plan on buying the pressure washer I love how it mounts on the wall and all the hoses are neatly organized. It would be so nice to be able to just pull out the pressure washer hose and have everything ready to go whenever I wanted to quickly pressure wash sonething
