  • Good quality cart
Style: Cart
Cart is pretty good quality with good quality fittings. Only knock on it is the hose connection orientation which makes getting the hose started wrapping up a little challenging. Have 290' of hose and holds it just fine.

  • better than the plastic hardware store models...
Style: Cart
I was getting tired of fighting with the two plastic hose reels I've used for years. These hose reels are a step up in ease of operation. Good sized crank handle, and the reel is a decent size. After reading some reviews I can address a few problems other have had. First, the crank handle screws onto the reel shaft. This means when you first install the hose be sure to wind the hose in the direction that TIGHTENS the crank!!! If the handle is unscrewing when you wind in the hose you have it wound backwards!!!! Too oblivious, but some folks missed it. Second... for those who managed to mangle the hose going to the faucet, read the directions. The swivel will be stiff until the O'rings are broken in. Add a few drops of oil if needed, or support the connecting hose when reeling. Assembly was easy as pie. I was able to figure it out from the photos. Unit was well packed, and no items were missing. The manual warns about the poor paint job from the factory. To be safe, I ordered a few cans of tan Rustoleum spray from Amazon and I plan to give the frame a few additional coats of paint, with extra attention paid to lower axle support welds. It is rather sad that an owner has to do this on new units, but at least the factory advises the owners in advance to clear spray the product. I chose to overspray with paint. The cart is fairly stable and I like the side reel feature when keeps the buggy steady when reeling in or pulling out hose. The frame could be a bit sturdier. I do not consider this to be commercial grade, but it is a decent home owner level product. I'd strongly suggest keeping it garaged when possible, especially over winter months. The hose swivel allows for the hoses to be easily disconnected to ensure the metal parts are fully drained for storage during freezes. I've had a few plastic reels destroyed by freezes because removing the hoses was a very difficult task. I can't comment on the tire problems other have faced, but hopefully replacement inner tubes are cheap if needed.... I bought two of these, one for the front yard and one for the back yard. They aren't exactly lawn art, being more functional than artistic... they are fairly large units. I have about 150 feet of 5/8" hose on each cart. I'd suggest winding a new hose on a hot day to ensure the hose is pliable, my hoses were a bit stiff when purchased. ... show more

  • Nice hose cart, sturdy and easy to move around.
Style: Cart
We had decorative hose reels on the side of the house and they only last a year or two. There were several of these portable hose carts and we are glad we chose this one as it works very well and easy to move around the house. Put quick connects on with short hose on out outside spouts and it is so easy to connect to wherever we need to use the hose cart. ... show more

  • Almost perfect
Style: Cart
Sturdy, love the big tires. Wish it had the ability to lock wheels. Bolt for the handle keeps coming loose no matter which way I wind the hose or which direction I turn the handle. Most irritating. If those two things weee solved….especially the handle issue…I’d give it a 5

  • Easy to assemble. Nice cart

Nice cart and very easy to assemble. I deducted one star as 2 tires needed air added to them after only 1 month. Also hose winds easier than any other cart i have owned. I can recommend

  • Confirm all pieces included in box are in good working order
Style: Cart
We just finished putting the garden hose reel together & it's a sturdy, almost off-road, vehicle. However, the crossbar on the handle is not attached as shown in the instructions - nor can it be attached. This leaves 4 empty holes in the handle. This does not effect efficiency or even sturdiness, but still bothers me every time I look at them. Make sure all pieces are properly welded/attached to each other before devoting time to assembly. - Should the manufacturer send me another replacement handle, I'll happily remove this review & award the 5 stars the product has earned otherwise. ... show more
