I bought this two years ago used it heavily for the first year. Pretty much multiple jumps a day, now I probably use it once or twice a month, but I don't use it as a jump box as much now because I fixed my car. I use it mainly now as a battery bank because it's also got a usb output for charging things. Best part is this thing will jump my car, which has a V8, probably 10-20 times before I'd have to charge it. I never let it get below like 30% before charging. I think if you dropped it on concrete, it would probably break. It's made of thick plastic, but it's still plastic. And it's fairly heavy. There's no rubber for armor. If you leave it out in the rain, it will probably stop working. So... take care of your stuff. And it'll probably take care of you. Worth whatever money I spent on it.

This GIMFOOM jump starter is very powerful with 4000A peak. This jump starter started my old car easily with plenty of remaining power. What I like most about this jump starter is the green "READY" LED display which tells me that both cable clamps are correctly connected to the car battery terminals and I'm ready to start the car, no more guessing or waiting. I also like the OUTPUT1 (blue USB-A) port which can output multiple voltages 5V/3A, 9V2A, 12V/1.5A. It charges my Samsung tablet as fast as my Samsung 65W charger. The dual LED colors are also helpful in case of emergency on the road or at home. To turn the LED on, press and hold the LED button for 3 seconds; short press turn the strobe on; finally short press again turn the red SOS on. The jump starter is well built with a rugged case for protection and travel.

What’s included - Velcro case, USB-C charging cord and adapter, jumpstarter, jumpstart cables, instruction manual. Charging - Unit arrived about 85% charged, it is important to fully charge it before use (USB-type C). It charged up in about 45 min- 1 hr. The blue LED readout is nice & large, and easy to read. USB powerstation – Tried charging my phone, with the USB-A to USB-C cord (included). I was a bit confused, as it seemed that pressing any of the side buttons wakes up the unit, and displays the LED percent charge. But just because the display is on, does not mean that the unit was active. It did not charge my phone, until I pressed the side center power button (kind of looks like the letter G). Now, the “Out” light was displayed, and it charged my phone. FYI – There are two USB-A output jacks (one is the speedier blue “SS’), and one USB-C input. Also, there is the special jack for jumpstarting. There is a rubber cover over all the jacks, and they are nicely labeled. Jumpstarter – Have not needed to use this yet. It states that it is capable of jumpstarting up to a 10 liter engine (our little Honda is only 1.5L!). You need at least 30% charge to jumpstart. If you connect the jumper cables wrong, you will not get the ‘Ready’ light, and a red exclamation point appears on the display. For such a beefy unit, it is interesting that the instructions state that you need to wait 1 minute between multiple start attempts. It also discourages from more than 3 attempts to start. LED Flashlight – This light will not light up the sky, but has acceptable brightness. I like that it has 3 modes – flash light, strobe light, and red light strobe SOS. Weight – This thing weighs a good 2 lbs, but in the case with all the equipment, it weighs 3.5 lbs.. Capacity: 4000A. They suggest topping it off every few months with a recharge. I sometimes take a jumpstarter with me when I travel, and on flights. Don’t quote me on this, but I believe that the TSA allows lithium power banks as carry –on (never in checked baggage), provided that it is less than 100 watt-hours. This unit’s specs say that it is 74wh, so theoretically it should be OK to take on a plane. However, in the manual (#1 under Reminders) it says that ‘it is prohibited on airplanes or ships.’ Overall, seems like a solid unit so far. This is an objective and unbiased review, and as a trusted reviewer, I may receive products or services.

Worked for the first jump and now this won’t even get my mower started. Not sure if I’m doing it wrong by charging it, then red to red and black to black and then wait to charge but - yeah, it sucks and wasn’t worth what I could have gotten a cheap Temu one and tossed it after the first time like I’m gonna do with this.
