I have traveled a lot over the past 10-12 years and I have tried a lot of other brands of GPS trackers and in my opinion the Gego is the best on the market so far at this price point. I had previously pre-purchased 2 of the first generation 3G Gego trackers when they first came out nearly 7-8 years ago. Like all rechargeable devices, after years of use, show signs of getting tired and will not hold a charge as long as the originally did. Also, many Cellular service companies have been cutting back on their 3G services. After 5 years of continuous us, they became slow and unreliable, but I feel I got my money’s worth. I just got my new Gego Pro and got it up and running. I did need a little help from Gego Support because of issues with my old account and an old credit card on file. That was quickly resolved by their support staff and my new Gegp Pro is working great now. My ratings: Location accuracy, Location speed, Battery life, Optional features, Customer Support, build quality, all 5 stars. My only disappointment is that the new Gego Pro does not have a hole (like the original Gego) or a loop for mounting a strap, lanyard or carabiner hook for quickly securing it to things like backpacks, or a strap inside the luggage, to keep it in place. Without a secure mounting it can fall and get lost in the bottom of the bag rendering the "Bag-Opened" light sensor mute.

I purchased this device for both domestic and international travel because I wanted more functionality than what AirTag-type devices provide. First off, the packaging and presentation were excellent — very professional and clearly high quality. It definitely didn’t feel like cheap hardware. After using it for a while, I’m extremely impressed by the technology. The app is intuitive and easy to use, and the device itself works flawlessly. The level of information it provides is outstanding — far more detailed than any tracker I’ve used before. One of my favorite features is the light sensor, which lets me know if or when my luggage was opened. That kind of insight gives me real peace of mind while traveling. Overall, this is hands down the best tracker I’ve owned. I’ll definitely be buying more!

Worked well during my roundtrip from CA to OH. Luggage open light sensitive alert worked well when placed in mesh pocket. Does not have the best battery life as it was significantly depleted ( approx. 54% ) during just one way flight but has battery saving status setting which reports location less frequently, also has flight mode & standard mode for car or backpack use. Sends notification to phone when bag opened, flight takes off & lands & when out of BT range.

This gps tracker is a winner. I've used many gps units over the years, this one works as advertised both in the US and internationally. None of my previous experiences could match the performance of these Gego pro models. Alerts to the phone about luggage upon landing at a destination airport are fast. The peace of mind knowing where your luggage is always located is easily worth the price of these units. We haven't had luggage lost or misdirected but if and when we do having a Gego along for the ride will be invaluable. We also have Airtags and Smarttag2 bluetooth units in luggage but nothing works like a true reliable Gego GPS unit.

I am not happy with it. The Gego stopped working from San Francisco. It did not register the entire route to Rome and then to Greece. So it only worked from Burbank to San Francisco.

After a stressful airline connection where my checked suitcase vanished forever, I refuse to fly without tracking my luggage on my own behalf. I wanted an independent way to verify my bag's location from my smartphone during transit. While this tracking device did work for me, the ongoing subscription fee is an extra expense that I don't love. The cellular connectivity is based on 4G service, so not the best in my opinion - there is better competition out there I think.

Work very well. Subscription is about 12 per month. Has location history, HAS BAG open Alert; easy to locate for most important one bag. I bought Tile by Life360 Pro - Powerful Bluetooth Tracker, Key Finder for less important bags without subscription.
