  • Works great
Size: 4 Pack
I previously tried a 3rd party one that said it would connect with iPhone, but it never did. I could pair it with my phone and get an icon on the map, but it never moved when my wife drove down the street several blocks for a test. They accepted my return request. This air tag is definitely apple friendly. I paired one of them with my phone in seconds and applied an icon to the map and drove down a few blocks leaving the tag at my house. When I parked and looked at Find My, it said that I had left my item at my house and showed me at the 4-blocks down from my house and showed the air tag at my house. So, on first test, this item works fine. $60 for 4 is not bad. I would buy this again. Update 1-11-2026 On the second test, this device did not work. I tried many times to have my wife drive down the road with the air tag in the car, and the icon never moved. I tried ALL the fixes that google search could supply, turning on Bluetooth, Locations Services, and getting the latest version operating system for iPhone. I also did the last ditch effort of turning my phone off and back on. I also tried using another one of the air tags and paired it with my iPhone. I also tried using my wife's iPhone. None of these worked. You can see why I highlighted the ALL for the fixes above. After researching this air tag, I see that it only works for about 50 feet or maybe 100. I tried it outside on my sidewalk, and it worked for 50 feet. After that it had problems. It said "no connection" and such and just had trouble after 50 feet. The research on this air tag says that they use other apple devices to transfer the signal from the device to iCloud. And, then it sends that signal finally to my iPhone. So, that is why I couldn't get any signal at my house in the suburbs. There apparently were not any apple devices sending the signal to iCloud. Duh. My friend has had results in recovering his stolen vehicle with this air tag. Who knows. I don't know if it is iPhone versions or whatever by now. I am using iPhone 17. But, we're going to try this out and see if it is just time involved in a long term search recovery. Hopefully, what they say in the videos is correct, and once an apple device records the location to iCloud, it is there for good, and I will receive that location at my phone. My friend will probably be moving around throughout the city, but that shouldn't be a problem (considering there are so many apple devices floating around out there :)) I should get a location sometime tomorrow. Will keep you posted. Update 1-12-2026 OK. This air tag is working. My friend took a couple of these air tags that I had paired with my phone and drove to work. At first, the icons just sat there on the map. It took a little time, but when I checked it again a few minutes later, there he was about 5 miles away. He texted me back and said that he was at that breakfast place. Then, an hour later, I had him tracked at another part of the city. Apparently, it takes a little time for other apple devices to send the location to iCloud and back to my phone. Also, on the block where I live, apparently there weren't any apple devices to make it work. I just checked again, and he is at another part of the city. So, this device works as advertised, and I would buy it again. Update: 2-7-2026 I bought 4 more of these air tags. I already have the last 4 applied, my wife's purse, my wallet, my keys (needed to buy a container, which worked really well), and my cat. I just tracked my wife today that showed her purse about 15 miles away. So, I am definitely a fan of these little things, and I have many more things to keep track of. My friend wanted one for his dog. Setup is also very easy. Put your phone down next to the air tag and go into Find My, pull the tab out of the air tag, and then the Find My app starts searching. It takes only a few seconds, and it is done. Then you call it a name like "wallet" or "cat", and then you choose an icon picture for it to show up on the map. I found icon pictures for all of my items so far: wallet, purse, keys, and cat. For an old timer, this is really an extraordinary piece of work. In my 30s and 40s I still needed to keep a quarter in my pocket to use a public phone booth. This technology just keeps me amazed. ... show more

  • Everyday use
Size: 4 Pack
I use the Apple AirTag every single day and it’s easily one of the most useful Apple accessories I own. I keep one attached to my keys, and before getting it I was constantly wasting time searching around the house or checking pockets and bags. Now I just open the Find My app and locate them in seconds. The precision finding feature works surprisingly well and guides me right to my keys, especially when they end up between couch cushions or under a seat in my car. I’ve also used it while traveling by keeping one in my backpack and luggage, which gives a lot of peace of mind. Battery life has been great, setup was effortless, and it integrates perfectly with my iPhone. The only thing to note is you’ll probably want to buy a holder or keychain separately since it doesn’t come with one. Overall, this has become one of those everyday items I never think about until I need it — and when I do, it works flawlessly. 5 stars. ... show more

The tracking is precise and reliable, whether I'm locating my keys at home or checking on my luggage while traveling. The compact design makes it easy to slip into a wallet, bag, or attach to a keychain without adding bulk. What made this purchase even better is how perfect it was for gifting last Christmas. • So many uses, plus it seems Apple designed iPhones to only work with their own tags.
Size: 4 Pack
Works well for tracking an item. At least if you have an iPhone. One drawback is it's ONLY a tag. A circular disc. More like one of those thick Vegas chips. Other ones I've tried, like Walmart's Onn brand come with clips and it can easily be attached to your key ring. This can't. You need to buy another product to hold it that attaches to a key ring. Maybe that's good for other uses though. I might want a credit card sized holder to slide in my wallet. In which case the added appendage for a keychain is undesirable. But it adds to costs. And speaking of costs, this was $64 for a pack of four. Or $16 each. A single AirTag was going for $24. By comparison, Walmart's Onn AirTag came as 2 for about $15. Or, $7.50 each. But, it never connected to my iPhone, so it was useless at any price. Which brings me to... I have an iPhone and the AirTags seem to be the only type of tag that works with the iPhone. Doesn't surprise me. Apple has always tried to make it so that you can only use their products. Forcing you to spend more money on their products to work with your existing Apple hardware. Back in the original Macintosh days, they used unique connectors to connect to mouses, drives, keyboards, etc. Their OS runs on the same CPU architecture as Windows CPUs now, but if you try to install MacOS on a regular laptop, it won't let you because it detects whether it's an authentic Apple machine or not. I have bluetooth devices an Android will connect to, but iPhones won't. I found out iPhones don't "speak" all sub-protocols within Bluetooth. Or their "lightning cord charger". Who else uses that except Apple? So you have to buy from them or somebody that paid them to be able to make them. So, is this the reason other tags won't work? Probably. Apple only wants you buying their AirTags. And no doubt designed it to only recognize their tags. But it works and I'm happy with it. I often lose my keys. Not outside the house, but inside. I'll set the keys down someplace and forget where or leave them in a jacket/pants. Then I need to leave and I'm searching all over for my keys. Most recently, I set them down to unload groceries and they got knocked off the counter and fell into a box of sodas. Couldn't find them for days. That pushed me to get AirTags. And they helped me find them twice already. Of course I did have to buy a holder to attach it to my keychain. AirTags work like crowd-sourcing. It's discovered by bluetooth. It doesn't use GPS. It doesn't connect to cell phone towers. It's just a tag with a unique Identifier. Cell Phones like iPhones and Androids search for these tags in the background and report them being nearby. So all of the cell phones near your AirTag are reporting it's location. So even if you lost it across the city, any cell phone that comes withing 30-100 feet of it will report its location. Even if it's not theirs. So now your Find my Phone app can locate it's last known position. There are holders that are credit card sized so you can slip one in your wallet (though it's much thicker than a credit card). You can buy holders that attach to keychains, pet collars, backpacks, or many other things. There are holders that have a magnetic side so you can attach it to your bike or a toolbox. Or you can just toss one in your car. When you forgot where you parked at that concert or huge outlet mall, your AirTag can help. Some airports and airlines can use them to locate missing luggage. SO many uses. ... show more
