My 88 year old mother who still insist living on her own is still very capable of intelligent conversations but her short term memory is out of here. I know some family members have been plundering through her personal stuff. one day it occurred to me that these smart locks can lock every time the door shuts. People have taken her keys before and these smart locks have keys too but they’ll not be accessible to anyone. My mother has managed without any problems to operate the finger print locks. No keys left laying around, no number codes to be seen or mistakenly spoken of or problems remembering a code. I did put the prints of several of her fingers into the lock. I also worried about how well they would work in a humid climate but so far so good. No one can come inside while she’s gone or working in the back yard and if she’s home, no one comes in unless she’s there to open the door.     • Seems to lock on its own at times?

It’s a little larger than a standard door knob. Install was easy enough. Don’t love that to use a physical key you swing the top of the knob to the side as I didn’t have the clearance to move it all the way over. Also found that for a main entry way this was more trouble than it should be. Would keep locking people out kind of on its own. Blue tooth range to u lock it did not seem that strong. Had to be really close. Might be cool on an office in home or somewhere with less traffic. Cool idea just didn’t work as easily as I’d hoped. Uninstalled it and put on a traditional knob that won’t pick and choose when to lock people out. :) ... show more

This product is very easy to install and works really well. We installed it on our master bedroom door. It was ridiculously easy to sign up for the warranty and to add the app and fingerprints. Very user friendly. It came with 2 hard keys (just incase), and also has a port to connect to an external battery in the event that you lose the keys and the batteries die, so no need to call for a locksmith if anything happens. We installed it just yesterday, and the only thing I would note so far is that after my husband washed his hands, the fingerprint reader was picky about opening for him. The nice thing is, you can also open it from the app on your phone, or with the key, so you're never really locked out. You can also add every single one of your fingerprints, and multiple users. Update: The company contacted me directly and offered a full refund. Changing from 1 star to 4 because the knob itself wasn’t that bad, just not right for me. Customer service makes all the difference! The installation wasn’t too bad but the finger print was very picky, had to touch it exactly right but that wasn’t so bad. My biggest issue is that it constantly disconnects from Bluetooth. Annoying when you’re getting home with full hands or in bad weather and can’t get in. That wouldn’t be so bad if I could return it for a working doorknob but nope! I don’t want to share personal details but I was very sick for months and I’m a single mom so I had my hands full just keeping the house running. When I was able to contact customer service they said there was nothing they could do because it was over the 30 day mark. No exceptions. ... show more
