I bought 6 of these cameras to install one each in my family room, front door, living room, garage driveway, side alley & backyard. So far it has been working like a charm! Few cameras have all the features as this one: 1) The camera works indoor & outdoor, no problem. 2) It is very easy to install and setup. Simple plug & play 3) Great picture quality & perspective. It does the job its expected to do great! 4) Excellent VicoHome mobile app that allows you to view live, recorded video, control night vision, video fidelity & many other settings etc 5) You can share the cameras to be added to your family member's account 6) It allows you to change the wifi once setup. My old Yi camera does not allow this, so once i upgraded my wifi router I still had to keep the old router connected. You can easily upgrade your wifi router & keep this camera 7) It can operate with battery or power. So even if there is a power cut it will continue to function 8) It has local SD card storage. I set mine up with 128 GB card. It can save all motion detected videos locally and also in free cloud storage of up to 3 days. This is huge as you don't need a subscription to operate the camera. My handyman was surprised i don't have to pay every month So nothing to complain so far. And to top it all, it is very affordable compared to other cameras. Great product! Like all products here are some things I found as opportunities to improve this already great product even further: 1) Consider providing a bigger USB cable either by default or as add-on. Out door installations typically need at least a 6ft cable 2) The initial connectivity to individual cameras is a bit slow (slower than my old Yi camera) and it only connects to one camera at a time. This seems like a mobile app enhancement that can be easily done 3) The mobile app shows camera in the reverse order in which they were added (latest installed first). It will be good to allow the cameras to listed in alphabetical or customer preferred order 4) Consider adding a desktop app to this kick ass product. ... show more

I like having more than one brand of camera, since sometimes one brand won't instantly connect when motion is detected.. and I chose this one because of the stars, but what really cinched it for me is the app. This and another cam I got to try, both use the Vicohome app and the app has like 4.8 stars. Already before I get the pay version now that I know these are nice cameras.. the pay Vicohome unlocks push notifications, ability to adjust motion zones & other tools unlocked in the app. Most other cams use the I think it's Uber app at like 2.6 stars. Haven't connected the solar yet, but easily connected & setup and I've setup like 4 other camera brands and this one was straight forward & instant connection. Looks like motion notices are coming thru the app & usually within 10 seconds or so and the pay version has even faster pushes? Quality of screen is pretty good both day/night... under the roof eve location aimed slightly downward is catching the entire driveway up to the house and prob at least a 50' wide view side to side. So if it actually lasts a few years, this is a nice camera with a fair price. ... show more

I put up 4 out of the 6 cameras I purchased. I haven't had time to put up the other 2 cameras. The set up and installation was really easy. They work wonderfully as well. I have 5.5 acres of land and I needed extra cameras to watch my house and my 13 farm animals while I was away on vacation. While I was away, I could quickly open the camera views and see what was going happening on the property...even at night. The night vision is very clear and helps a lot when it is foggy and even when it's raining. I am very pleased with the product. I'm considering purchasing 4 more. ... show more

I bought a pair of these to help with keeping an eye on our cats at night, as well as to find the culprit that had been making messes of the cat's food. This is my 4th set of cameras, and they have and are still outperforming all the other ones I've bought so far! Couple points of interest: They will fit onto other camera mounts (in case you are concerned about drilling endless holes into your house to mount cameras) The battery life is excellent. I haven't had to recharge them yet,and they've been up about a month now. The subscription, which you don't have to get, is free foe the first 30 days, so you can try it out before paying any money..and it's affordable! Less than $5/month! I love that the cameras classify what the movement is..it will even pick up "pets" (we have destructive critters in our area) The last cameras I had didn't pick up people or cars, but sent me 244 notifications that one of my tree branches were blowing in the wind! Not so with this camera. Overall very satisfied with this sellers product and am planning to install 2 more cameras sometime soon. Highly recommend! ... show more
