Spacious enclosure with easy-build frame. Heater is superior to a friend’s unit that cost $10 more. Takes 12-13 mins. to start steaming the booth. If you leave it on #9 for heat you will be a steamed dumpling 🥟 in 30 mins. My record is 34 mins. I put a full size folding chair 🪑 in it and you’ll need a towel.

The Garvee Sauna Box is a good option for a single-person sauna. It's portable in the sense that you can easily take it apart and/or move it to another location. It gets pretty steamy, so the boiler steamer works well, which makes it a good product. Pros: Easy to set up and pretty lightweight and portable. Comes with a small chair that you can sit on inside. The steamer works well, and it gets pretty steamy in about 10-15 minutes. Cons: The tube that connects the steamer to the portable sauna box is pretty short. The power cord for the steamer is also very short, and we actually have to get an extension cord where we want to use it. The zippers are fussy, and I took away one star because I think if the zippers were a higher-duty zipper, it would make the whole box better. They should have holes for the steam tube to come in on either side vs just the one. Recommended as an economical single-person portable steamer.

This is one of the most enjoyable items I have been able to test and review on Amazon. It came well-packaged with clear English instructions and all the pieces needed to assemble a full size sauna tent. I don't have any additional bathrooms in this house that have a large enough tile shower to accommodate the sauna, so I cleaned out the entire garage and stationed it near a power outlet on the other side of our garage fridge. I set up a sauna table next to it with a lamp and some hand towels to wipe down the walls if needed after use. I laid all the pieces out and skimmed the instructions which were clear and concise. The kit comes with 16 metal poles marked A and B. There are 8 - B poles and 8 plastic corner joints for the top and bottom sauna frame, as they need 4 each. And there are 8 - A poles that connect together with plastic joints to form the side frame. I assembled them on a padded surface, so I could rotate the pieces and push down from above on the joints without damaging the bottom joint to get the poles to click into place. Once the entire stall frame is together, you have to unzip the tent, find the base and set the frame on top of the base, then start tugging. I had a bit of a struggle pulling the tent up over the frame in the back, as it was a tight fit, but there is no wobbling of this tent whatsoever when it is completely assembled. The zippers move easily and are very sturdy. The pump has its own directions and parts to assemble. It comes with 2 silicone hoses, one that connects to the top of the water/steam pump, and the second that connects to a steam release disk on the sauna floor that they call the "herbal disk" on the instruction sheet as it has a plastic grate inside so you can insert lavender, lemons or a few drops of your favorite essential oil, etc. to create an aromatherapy type of sauna. Once set up, I filled up the pump to the 4 liter mark with filtered water, turned the timer to 75 minutes and the temperature setting to 7. I let it warm up for 20 minutes while I took a quick shower, got in and set a timer on my phone for 20 minutes. I found as I began to feel the effects of the steam, that it wasn't hot enough, so I turned it up to 9. Within minutes it was too hot, so I dialed it down to 8 and it was perfect. I put some relaxing music on my phone and dropped it in the outer door pocket and I could hear it clearly through the door. So relaxing. The remote did not work through the tent wall, so I had to unzip the door to turn the temperature up and down which was not an issue as it was my first time using it. After use, I took the chair and floor mat out to dry and put a space heater about 6 feet away oscillating towards it to help it dry. A simple process. This is a well-made item that is both intuitive and easy to assemble and use. It is a well-priced for what it can do. My son and daughter in law work out a lot, and I think this would make a great gift item for them when Christmas comes around this year. I will continue to use it for the next few weeks after workouts and come back with an update if there are issues, but for the design, easy of assemble and wonderful spa-like experience, five stars.

This portable sauna box is AWESOME. The functionality is exactly what you would hope for in an at home steam setup. It heats up well and produces plenty of steam, and the 60 minute timer is convenient and easy to use. Assembly was straightforward and did not require any complicated tools. The size is compact enough to fit in a bedroom or small space but still roomy enough to sit comfortably inside. It folds down for storage which is a big plus. The material feels durable and holds the heat in nicely during a session. For the performance and convenience of having a personal steam sauna at home, I do think it is a good value for the money. LOVE being able to relax without leaving the house.
