    • Bad adjustment system
Seems sturdy. A lots of little parts to assemble so assembly is painstaking. But my biggest concern is that it is not a simple “adjustable” from 5 to 10feet. You will need to take some bolts apart and add a center pipe (that is included) to get it to 10ft. So my little boys can shoot to about 6 feet but then I have to take it apart, add an additional pole to make it so I can shoot at 10 ft. Not just crank it from the lower height to 10 feet seamlessly. Takes 20 minutes or so to do this. Then after the big guys are done shooting I have to go back thru the process to adjust for the little guys. Frustrating. So for this it’s getting a 2 star. Wish I would have looked at it closer. ... show more

Assembly took a bit over an hour or so, and was possible with a single person, but would probably be a bit easier with help. The adjustable height is one of the strongest features. With a range from approximately 4.9 to 10 feet, the hoop can be lowered for younger players and raised to regulation-height territory as players develop. This makes it more versatile than a fixed-height children's hoop and allows the same system to remain useful as a player improves. The polycarbonate backboard is another positive. It is designed to withstand normal outdoor use while providing a more durable alternative to a basic plastic backboard.     • Adjustable Height Makes This a Great Hoop for the Whole Family
I ordered the Garvee portable basketball hoop with the 52-inch shatterproof backboard, and this is a really nice full-size basketball setup for a driveway or outdoor play area. I especially like that the height can be adjusted from 4.9 feet all the way up to the regulation 10-foot height, which makes it useful for younger kids as well as teenagers and adults. The base is quite large at approximately 43 x 27 inches and can be filled with either water or sand for stability. Once weighted, it gives the hoop a much more substantial and secure foundation. The 18-inch metal rim also has a dual-spring design, and the overall construction feels like it was made for actual regular use rather than just occasional light play. One of my favorite features is the adjustability. Being able to lower the basket for younger players and gradually raise it as their skills improve gives this a much longer useful life than a hoop with only one or two height settings. It also has built-in wheels, which are important with something this large. You can reposition it around the driveway or move it out of the way when necessary without having to completely disassemble the system. Overall, this is a sturdy, versatile basketball hoop with a nice-sized backboard, a wide height range, and a portable design.     • Strong and sturdy basketball court
This is an awesome portable basketball hoop and has been a great addition to our driveway. I bought it for my children so we could have something at home to play basketball on, and the whole family has been enjoying it. Even my 18-year-old uses it and slam dunks on it, and so far it has felt very strong and sturdy. It is definitely a heavy-duty setup, so I would recommend having two people available for assembly and for getting everything properly positioned and secured. Once it’s together, though, the weight actually gives it a nice solid feel while playing. Despite being heavy and sturdy, the wheels make it surprisingly easy to move around the driveway when needed. The adjustable height is also a great feature because it allows both younger kids and adults to use the same hoop. For around $200, I think it’s a very reasonable price for a complete portable basketball setup that can be moved instead of being permanently installed. Overall, we’re very happy with it. It’s sturdy, adjustable, convenient to move, and gives us everything we need to enjoy basketball right at home.
