EDIT: Device completely stopped working and seller is unresponsive. Do not purchase! A few weeks ago, my Toyota Corolla started showing a check engine light on the dashboard. I called the dealer and they wanted $200 to diagnose it, so I figured I may just buy a OBD reader and see if I could figure it out myself. Surely enough, this did told me exactly what code was showing and I simply looked it up and ordered the fault part. Now I'll have this for the future! As far as the reader goes, it feels very good quality and I am happy with it!

Update. Made.repairs to the car and still getting the same codes. Maybe faulty but be aware. Lightweight, hard plastic, but fits and reads the computer. Cable is long enought to easily accessing the plug under the dash. I checked the codes with the readers from retail auto parts and I got the same results. It gives issues codes for the computer, car, and battery. Allowes to print them. The obdii codes are up to date. Start the car, plug it and you'll get the reading. Tried plugging it first and didn't work. I'm not an expert in cars but this gives some peace of mind that I'm not getting scammed. Every car should come with one of these.

My husband thinks this is a good onboard diagnostic tool for our car. It plugs in under the dashboard of the car and helps to read any of the diagnostic lights that may pop up when there is a problem. The user manual is well written and easy to understand.

It seemed to do its job at first but it suddenly showed why you should just go with a reputable brand for these things. Product is cheap, weighs as much as a pen low on ink, and doesn't work. Avoid at all cost.
