This hose is awful. Tangles, doesn’t go back to original size, looks like it will come out of the water hydrant fitting at any moment. The spray nozzle is very very cheap! Would send back but already used. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. 0 star review

I've been using expandable garden hoses for a few years now. However those I've used have always been the cloth type that last a year or two before they need to be replaced. So when I saw this expandable rubber hose I just had to try it and I'm glad I did. This is a lightweight rubber garden hose that is easy to use and doesn't kink and tangle like traditional hoses do. It has nice brass fittings that connect easily to your spigot and while it comes with a spray nozzle, it would fit pretty much any other spray nozzle you wanted to use Storing is is also easy because when you're finished with it, it shrinks back down and rolls up very easily. Like all of these flexible hoses however, there is the drawback of having to drain the water out and waiting for it to shrink down before storing it.....but I feel that is minor considering the frustration of rolling up a traditional (and awkward) garden hose. There is a hose holder included with this hose but it is thin plastic and very flimsy...so I didn't even to use it. It's just getting to be spring here in the northeast so I've only used this hose once and it worked very well but as with most things, time will tell. ... show more

Neither the product description nor the packaging indicates the inner or outer diameter of the hose. It turns out to be a very narrow hose (I.D. possibly 3/8"?) that expands lengthwise, not around the hose circumference. The hose is very pliable and does not kink. The hose arrived packaged nicely with 2 extra washers, a multi-pattern hand sprinkler, and a small hose-hanger. The hose-hanger does not feel sturdy. The hand sprinkler, though all plastic, attaches easily to the hose and works well on all patterns. It has a small latch to lock the handle open. There is also a built-in shut-off valve at the nozzle-end of the hose, which is a very useful feature. The connection ends The two problems I found with the hose were: 1) within 2 or 3 minutes of charging the hose with water, the outer layers of "innovative nano rubber" had separated from the internal layers, creating a "bubble" about 1.5" long on the surface of the hose (see photo). No water leaked at this separation point or elsewhere along the hose, so it is unclear how this issue will affect the functioning of the hose over time. 2) The narrow diameter of the hose resulted in insufficient pressure to effectively use an on-the ground multi-pattern sprinkler, achieving only about a 6' diameter spray. (When I used the same sprinkler with a 3/4" hose, the spray patterns were much broader.) I feel that this hose may be good for low-pressure use, especially if the separation of the outer layer does not compromise the function of the hose. Only time will tell. ... show more

So I don’t know what happened to traditional hoses but over the past decade they have been going down the drain. They are all just getting brittle and cracking like crazy so we are switching to other types. - The hose feels very well made. - It is also extremely light weight. It weighs less than ¼ of our other 100ft ones. - It is very easy on the hands when moving it around. - It does not tangle like a regular hose. It does twist kind of funky when you go to hang it up though. -While it doesn’t kink because it is “soft” walled you will lose flow if it is stepped on. -The built-in shut off on the end is very much appreciated and very helpful to change water flow in the sprayer. It was a bit tight at first but now it opens and closes perfectly. -The hand sprayer is a bit clunky to change, so I am not sure how long it will last, but it is easy on the hands. - Note that the way these “expandable” hoses work, once you open the end to let out water they lose form and “shrink” back a bit. To lessen this you can let less water out at a time. Now that is nothing against this hose it is actually a trait that every “expandable” hose has. -On a similar note it takes quite a while with water in the line but not being drawn to actually get close to 100ft. So if you are needing closer/constant 100ft you would probably want a different hose. -While it does seem very well made and durable I definitely would not classify it as “heavy duty”. More like light duty, for watering plants or kids playing. So far it is holding up great and working out perfectly for a lightweight easy to move hose for Dog/vehicle washing and gardening. Pretty much exactly what the listing says it is good for, which is rare in itself. ... show more
